This text is a brief, yet very thoughtful critique of Marxism in a post-Marx world. Including discussion of theory in relation to Marxism and many other topics, Adorno and Horkheimer share a dialogue reflecting on how they see the world today. Highly recommended. The beautiful artwork is also a big plus.

Format: Hardcover
This brief, incomplete post-war text is a sort of preliminary discussion between co-authors Horkheimer and Adorno—working out the general contours of a theory of Marxism under late capitalism. This is by no means a significant work of Adorno or Horkheimer; recorded by Gretel Karplus, is a fairly casual, disorganized discussion of political and socio-economic issues facing industrial society. Occasionally there are interesting moments (Adorno’s political naiveté is rather surprising). This should probably have been included as a supplement to a larger collection
