great book that makes you afraid of the future

loved the book and when i see something about the advancement of robotics i have wonders about the future even know we have problems of people that could work but refuse to and choose to live off welfare what are we suppose to do we we have all of them plus the one that like to work but there jobs are replaced by robots

Is This America's Likely Future?

Ward Kendall’s “The Towers of Eden” is a grim but entirely realistic view of a future America, and what might happen. It’s deadly serious, and that’s a large part of its appeal. And it poses an intriguing question I’ve never seen answered before: what happens if automation and computers put millions of people out of work, with no other option for employment – anywhere? Kendall’s daring novel provides an answer, but one that some may not like. Clearly he’s thinking outside the box, and it’s a box a lot of people might end up in. Memorable characters are another plus, as well as excellent writing. A must read as we race toward an uncertain future.

Racialist, not racist

A surprisingly complex novel about race/social class devolution and the ending-of-civilization in 2056. Similiar in some ways to another excellent book, Serpent's Walk: the White Resistance leadership are not pure of heart and will sometimes kill simply out of meglomania; the reluctant hero is not at all convinced by the brutal logic of the necessity to take such harsh measures to save western civilization from the unwashed hordes.
