I wont be reading another book from this author. I wish I would have read more reviews for this series before I got sucked into it. The first few books set up an interesting story but after that I felt I was on an endless search for a conclusion. One book ends with the main character in love with three guys only to drag out through another book to end the same way. Then another, then another! Until book 7.5 I think I'm FINALLY going to see how it all ends and instead she's still left in a limbo with the three, I'm being introduced to new characters foryet a new series and the conclusion to THIS one isn't finished yet. So in the end I've spent around $75.00 on a series that I never was really impressed with the intriege, depth, speed and maturity level from the beginning anyway. And after all that I still have no ending. My credit card says "way to go stupid! The author really saw you coming and she's laughing all the way to the bank!" Don't get sucked in! It isn't worth it. I think out of protest I wont be buying the last book just to prove to myself the author wont get ALL my money in the end.

I'm getting to a point where I'm actively going to stop buying series unless it's clearly sold as a standalone trilogy OR each book in the a series can also function as a complete stand-alone. I've enjoyed this series overall but it seriously gets my goat when I've finished book 7.5 and the tale is still not resolved. It makes me realise that the author is just milking me for every cent they can because they think I'm enjoying the series and will potentially keep buying books into perpetuity as long as they don't resolve the story....

I dunno if I'm being too harsh but it leaves really a bitter taste for me when I've read book 7.5 (at least the author had the decency to be too embarrassed to call it book 8 in an unresolved plot) and now have to wait for the author to finish writing the next book. It tells me she's going to keep stringing me along as much as she possibly can. If she had resolved it in a standalone trilogy and then released another standalone trilogy with the same characters at a different place in their lives I would feel less exploited and far more inclined to support the author's future work.

As it is I can say with absolute certainty that Addison Moore will not see another cent from me. Heck in some of the books in this series virtually nothing even happened! I was clearly caught in a trap for beginners by this author but rest assured, it won't happen again. Not only will Addison Moore not see another cent from me but in future I will always be weary of buying series of books anything other than standalone trilogies from ANY author. Now that I have learnt that there are some authors here on Amazon who are just out to "stick it" to their readers I will be far more weary even if they get good ratings. Addison Moore gets one star for teaching me a valuable lesson.

Skyla, etc all ( even the sometimes funny, ridiculously wordy Tad) are reduced to one and two word swears in lieu of solid writing. Cop out! This is an adolescent book, and VERY disappointing that Moore gave up on witty dialect in favor of a quick swear every time! JUST SH$T! Is the new Skyla Speak used to create space for more action??? Ah, no.

If the juvenile language and immature writing isn't enough chapter after chapter, let's look at plot...at 50% we have had 2% war, and 98% The Love Square/Talk about Chloe Fest. (again, no action against the murder of the FATHER) Better still, Skyla flaunts her skank manner, bouncing between and in front of Gage, Logan, and now in the running, Marshall. One more time...is Gage a dark God/beautiful specimen with dimples you can fall into? Is Logan a Golden God? WE GET IT Moore...everyone in the book is perfectly striking! Wait, we got it 5 books so.

Oh, haven't heard yet? Skyla hates Chloe...and realisticly of course they are STILL in the same house. Of course Skyla rants in her mind over and over, never acting even after seeing Chloe walk into the woods carrying a severed head! Her father's killer lives in her house now, and Skyla does NOTHING?! ok.....

GAGE, now he can't be trusted. Now can magically share visions. (Did I mention the huge story gaps?) Of course he is subtly protecting Chloe . I am over him, and am team vote HER, SKYLA, off the island!!!!!

Yes, even people vanishing into the thin air of the overly described, perpetually foggy island that weeps rain EVERY CHAPTER...people coming back from the dead AGAIN ( because that is new -not)...mother Lizbeth seeing her dead husband and angelic wife to wake the next day and say...oh it's a dream...

I will not be buying another book from this author. The first three books in this series were wonderful. Since then they are just a means to get another four dollars from me. The story is moving along at a snails pace and now I'm getting introduced to charaters for her new series. Can I please have an actual concrete conclusion to one thing before you try to bait me into another lost cause?!

Why these men love this idiot is a mystery - all 3 of them are head over heels in love with no discernible basis, given she mostly a jerk to them, while almost having sex with each of them but somehow never actually doing anything but make out. But she wears 4 inch heels that she refers to as FMs (you can figure that out) while a junior in high school. Huh? Her nemesis is far more interesting though equally as repulsive. Skyla is supposed to save a race of angels? Good luck with that.
