Editorial Reviews
About the Author
Robert Kulacz, DDS received his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry, and he received post-graduate training in implant surgery and implant restoration sponsored by Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn N.Y. He abandoned much of his traditional dental practice after learning of the risks of some of the dental procedures he was performing. His first book, The Roots of Disease, with co-author Dr. Tom Levy was published in 2002. It introduced many of the concepts that The Toxic Tooth now greatly expands upon.
Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD is a board-certified cardiologist and the author of Primal Panacea and Curing the Incurable: Vitamin C, Infectious Diseases, and Toxins; plus three other groundbreaking medical books. He is one of the world's leading vitamin C experts and frequently lectures to medical professionals all over the globe about the proper role of vitamin C and antioxidants in the treatment of a host of medical conditions and diseases

Are bacteria toxins from a pulled wisdom tooth or a root-canalled tooth causing your health issues?
Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2018Verified Purchase
In this outstanding book, the authors explain that the killed off root-canalled tooth, now dead, but left in the jaw and mouth, can and often does become a toxic dump of anaerobic bacteria, whose exotoxins can travel through the blood stream to cause havoc elsewhere in the body. Also, and importantly, they point out that when a tooth is properly removed, the space in the jaw where the tooth was, is supposed to fill up with new bone, but sometimes, especially if the tooth pulling is inexpertly done without the full removal of the peridontal ligament and full debridement of the socket, a hole, a cavitation, in the jaw bone can remain, and it too can become the home to anaerobic bacteria and their exotoxins. These procedures can seem fine, without pain or discomfort, even though they are the source of poisons affecting the body elsewhere. Furthermore, their adverse effect on the body can become apparently many years after the procedures are done. If you have a persistent health problem, like a heart problem or arthritis, etc., it is good to investigate whether a root canal treatment or a pulled wisdom tooth or other tooth may be the root of the problem. Sometimes pulling the killed off root-canalled tooth is necessary, or a full debridement of the pulled tooth cavitation.

Amazing book. Wished I had read it 15 years ago. Health improved dramatically after removal of 2 root canal teeth that I had no idea were highly toxic and inflamed, slowly pouring toxins into my body. Must read for everyone. Extremely well documented. Beware: most dentists and doctors are brainwashed and close-minded and will try to discredit this book without even reading it.

I'm so glad that I found this book while going through months of hell with dental pain when the dentist, endodontist and oral surgeon could not find anything wrong other than an inflamed nerve, following two invasive procedures that didn't fix anything and made things worse. It convinced me to fight to get a root canaled tooth from 2013 removed. I was only allowed to do this after trying a root canal retreatment, and even then, I had to demand, this is what I want after forking over a high amount of dollars for the retreatment. Through this ordeal, I've lost over 10 pounds since it's been difficult to eat and I haven't felt well. Having read the book, I was better prepared to understand that no one would believe me and that the best strategy to take was not to mention any doubts about the root canal procedure itself but instead, to focus on the pain - otherwise, the oral surgeon would be reluctant to pull it. Upon pulling the tooth, it was diagnosed as cracked under the gum line and appeared to have flesh growing into it. I can only imagine what toxins have been irritating my gum tissue and nerves over the years, let alone the rest of my body because mysteriously, I have had a lot of autoimmune issues pop up this year.
I am recovering, one month after having the tooth pulled, I'm at 80% recovery at this point re: my mouth, and completely off of ibuprofen. I still have some gum irritation and sensitivity at the extraction site so not 100%. I will need to see an integrative medicine specialist because I have had several autoimmune issues pop up this year - connection to the tooth? - and these are not completely gone yet - I need to learn how to manage them. These autoimmune / inflammation issues do not run in my gene pool. What is sad to me is that I seem to have some type of gum inflammation going on, which I pointed out repeatedly to the professionals months ago, yet they kept coming back to the need to do invasive procedures and caused nerve damage. But, if they had listened to me 8 months ago instead of doing more invasive procedures, I may have avoided the two months of excruciating pain and nerve damage in the first place.
What I knew in my head before having the tooth pulled was even if nothing odd was found re: the tooth itself from the dentist's perspective, I needed to get this out from an autoimmune disease standpoint and a chance at healing my tooth nerve.

Everyone should read this BEFORE THEY CONSIDER GETTING A ROOT CANAL, I just had 3 root canals removed and 5 metal crowns changed. I use to have bad ringing in my ears and that is reduced by 40%. I had the work done after a MD said read this book and remove them. For 4 yrs i have had my lump nodes inflamed real bad, its been 1 month since the root canals were removed and i haven't had a problem. DENTIST SHOULD HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK. THE RESEARCH IS THERE INSTEAD OF CAUSING MEDICAL HARM TO SO MANY PATIENTS

Jam packed full of irrefutable TRUTH! I found that once I began reading it that I couldn't put it down. I'm booked in to have all amalgams removed tomorrow. I'd recommend you do the same. Dr. Kulacz lost everything he owned in order to share this information with the world for the greater good. A truly honourable Earth angel

A must read if you have/or are considering root canals.

A no nonsense book confirming that root canals can cause systemic disease. I was so outraged when Netflix withdrew the documentary 'Root Cause', after huge pressures from the Dental Associations of America........I would urge people to watch it from various other sites. I suppose at the end of the day, it is all about making money!!!!

La problemática que describe el libro puede salvar vidas
Reviewed in Spain on September 17, 2020Verified Purchase
