Neat as a gag & for those who Bow Down to Dagon, Cthulhu & the Assorted Old Ones-- but be careful with it-- and you're on your own if you want to actually hang it up as there's no way to do so on the wreath itself.
If you really want to spread the Solstice cheer-- we suggest instead of buying this cheap import head over to the fair folks at the HP Lovecraft Historical Society. They have some excellent gifts-- including TWO CDs of Solstice music and the must-have carol booklet to go with. And, with our order, we received a complimentary beautiful, handmade Cthulhu tentacle Yule stocking to help ring in the Armageddon.
I was a little bummed that it was so cheaply made. The front (the important part) looked fine, however, I had to sew in some reinforcements on the back, as there was no obvious "hanging point" to put the wreath up. Some of the threadwork on the back was very hasty and used shortcuts like a junior high home ec project. Even some of the fluff was already coming out. This was easily fixed with about 20 minutes of needle and thread, but it had the feel of the kind of stuffed toys one wins at the county fair. But who cares, right? It's the Hot Rod of Elder Gods, my way or R'lyeh, the shockubus with the head of an octopus... from me to you, it's Cthulhu!
So overall, what I got it for was very satisfying, but don't look too closely.
All in all, another well-designed item from Toy Vault, and something that no Lovecraft aficionado should be without around the holidays.
