Product Description

What a crybaby! Dan Hibiki may be the inventor of the "Strongest Style" of martial arts, but he's nowhere as great as he claims. Hence the interchangeable head on this ToyFare Exclusive figure, showing him blubbering like a little girl with a skinned knee. Still, he can be a badass, hence the one-handed fireball accessory and the interchangeable taunting and thumbs-up hands.

Like the other Sota Street Fighter line, this figure has great poseability and looks good. Unlike the others, the hand piece accessories on Dan are sculpted from a more malleable plastic than the main body, and are prone to breaking when trying to insert or remove them. I have had two left hands break and the belt has come loose and off. Unless you must have Dan, I would recommend getting one of the other Sota Street Fighter characters. If you must have him, be very careful not to break his hands.

I've bought a few of Sota's other Street Fighter toys and was really impressed with their durability and poseability, but Dan seems like nobody intended for him to be unwrapped. Joints out of the box were either way too stiff or alarmingly loose, and when I tried to swap out his hands with one of the four spares he came with, they tore on the first twist and left their ball-pegs stuck in his wrist sockets. So now I can look forward to trying to dig them out later. Additionally, his spare head (crying expression) was damn near impossible to "click" into place, and its forelock (which is glued in place on the other head) immediately fell off and got lost. Finally, Dan comes with a little green "fireball" that's supposed to fit into a hole on one of his spare hands, but the hole is a little too small and left flakes of paint on the fireball's stem.

Dan's my favorite character and I think the Street Fighter toys in general are great, but for $20 I expected something that wouldn't fall apart the second it was unboxed. Very disappointing.
