We received our pull along toy yesterday & were really excited! He absolutely loved the you, however there is a little wooden piece that connects the carts which hold the eggs. This little piece came right out & is small enough to choke my 9 month old. So upsetting!

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for a friend's child (10mos). It is beautiful and reasonably well made. It's a multi-part item, and can have one, two or three "cars" following along behind the chicken. The eggs are also separate, can be played with independently and when set in the "cars" will rotate independently with the turning of the wheels.

Overall, I was extremely pleased with the toy. There were a few minor issues where it could have been slightly better made (one of the cars has a slightly shallower divot that occasionally effects how the egg rotates) , but for the price and its intended use, I am very happy. My only real criticism was with the packaging. Its a very shallow complaint, I realize, but I was uncomfortable wrapping the toy in its original packaging, because the packaging looks extremely "cheap", much more cheap than the toy inside, and instead purchased a new gift box. That, since it cant be gleaned from the product page, is my only reason for deducting a star.

Not a solid pull toy.

I thought this was a simple pull toy for my 1 year old grandson. He tried to pull it along, and the pieces came apart. He can easily place an egg back if it dropped, but he cries when he doesn’t understand why the train falls apart.

The toy itself is gorgeous and great for the price: 100% wood and very old school, cute vintage design. The idea of rolling eggs is also fun. However, there are some minor downsides. The cord should be longer. Also I've noticed that the toy is not very stable and easy to tip over when you pull it. It might not be a problem for older kids, but it makes our 14 months-old lose his interest so far. So all in all, good 4*!

Really cute but needs better glue

Got this for a 2 yr old's birthday. It is adorable, the way the eggs roll is fun to watch. They need better glue. I pulled on everything and a couple dowel rods came loose and the comb. I used wood glue to secure them and they haven't broken off since. Don't know why the factory in china doesn't just use wood glue.

This looks good on a shelf but I won't let my baby get this stuff into her mouth. There is no environmental declaration, just some unsubstantiated statement saying "sustainable wood". I am disappointed by the lack of information in the package.

Our 1 year-old drags this chicken everywhere, and it seems to encourage him to walk (at least move about). He also chews on the eggs and plays endlessly with the carts. Each cart is easily detachable, so there's more for baby to throw around the room, which he also enjoys very much.

The toy itself is made of wood and very cute - try not to smile when the chicken is pulled along and the eggs start spinning on their cart!

I am giving it four stars only because the chicken and the first cart came apart after a few days, exposing parts that had been glued carelessly. It was an easy fix, but my son probably chewed some of that toxic substance before we noticed it. Secondly, the string used to pull the chicken is a bit weak and will need to be replaced soon. I also find it slightly misleading that the brand's name is "Toys of Wood Oxford" but the pull along is made in China.
