Great phone so far. If I had known prepaid phones allow you to change the battery I would have switched over to them a long time ago.

Regarding the $40 bonus plan for those of you who don't know, the $40 plan is associated with the SIM card already inserted into the phone when you activate it. (I had to call Tracfone and use their automated system to get the phone activated) The $40 bonus plan is automatically allocated to the phone for FREE upon activation. I was also able to have the phone delivered over night for FREE to an Amazon pickup locker at a local Whole Foods.

The phone itself has a nice display and good light weight to it. It seems better than my main phone in many ways which is starting to make me wonder if it's worth paying $90 / month for my main phones unlimited plan... lol.

Overall an unbeatable value.

This product says it comes with a $40 promotional bundle. This is indeed completely untrue. I tried activating over the computer and it would not allow me to. I tried calling over the phone and I was told that the promotional package gets added AFTER I buy a different plan... weird but Ok, I did. Well, the minutes/texts/data never got added. I have repeatedly called and attempted to chat with TracFone and have found that they have the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service. They continually hang up or pass me around and offer insufficient answers. I finally did reach someone who said I needed a code from Amazon to get the bundle. I approached Amazon and was told (after being passed around twice) that this was indeed up to TracFone to honor the bundle. I call TracFone again armed with this info and was transferred to a refund specialist. He mostly put me on hold (35 minutes total) and then finally came back and said if I call when the 30 days is up from the plan I paid for, they will THEN honor the $40 Amazon Bundle. I asked for some sort of confirmation number of this future transaction as I am understandably wary at this point and he literally said "have a nice day" and ended the call. So, since I have already opened and activated the phone, I am clearly out the money spent on it, but you can count on the fact that I will be looking elsewhere for service and will make sure that anyone purchasing this phone expecting the bundle knows that this is NOT TRUE and tjat even attempting to get them to rectify their false advertising is completely fruitless.

Great upgrade from my LG Lucky with a bigger screen, more RAM and storage, faster processor, longer battery life, newer OS and LTE network coverage. All my service days, minutes, texts and data transferred over upon activation including everything in the bonus package also. I like the big screen with clear resolution, enough storage for all my apps, battery lasts about 5 days between charges, and crystal clear reception on calls. Works perfectly for what I use it for and honestly can't think of one negative thing to say about it. Factor in that the sale price was $49.99 when I bought mine with the included bonus package worth $40, and that really sweetened the deal.

I bought this phone for my birthday because I moved into a building that doesn't have landlines. I thought I'd really researched this phone & I really loved it. HOWEVER, I quickly realized Tracfone is a very poor provider. It clearly stated you couldn't triple the minutes, but they could be doubled. As I haven't had to count the minutes I used for a very long time, I thought the $40 bundle would be sufficient. I downloaded the app that Tracfone has to monitor usage to help me.

The app rarely worked correctly; it kept telling me it couldn't download the info & try again. It jumped all over the place with minutes used when it did decided to let me know. Imagine my dismay when it showed I went from over 790 minutes to less than 400 in 2 days!

I contacted Tracfone via Live Chat& found they do NOT double minutes & they do NOT have unlimited plans, nor are they very cost effective. I asked them what I could do because I wanted to keep my phone & phone number. I was referred to Net10, a sister company, that I should be able to transfer over to them. I contacted them, was assured I could do that & recommended I use up the minutes I had before I transferred.

When I got down to 90 minutes, I contacted Tracfone via Live Chat again to begin the process of transfer. Oh my, I got such a variation of answers! Yes I could transfer, but couldn't keep my number; yes I can keep my number, but my phone is not compatible, I would need to buy a Net10 sim card & that would take 3-5 business days etc.

I didn't know what to do. I got ahold of Amazon, hoping I could receive help from them. The 3 people I tried to converse with via Live Chat weren't very helpful, something I'm not used to with Amazon. I won't go into my challenge of trying to deal with them. I ended up taking some of my precious minutes I had left & spoke with Zac & Eric. I decided to return my phone & get a refund. Again, it isn't the phone that was a problem--I really liked that phone! However, I couldn't use it with Tracfone.
