My best phone ever. Well, my son says I should have spent another $120 on a newer operating system but I think this 6.0 OS will be supported at least through the life of the phone's battery. I think Tracfone got it right this time by having the sim card already installed and not having to get it separately. I have had problems in the past with phone switch over but not this time. It was a breeze. Phone battery came 40% charged. I put in my extra 32GB sim card and the battery and let it charge while I pulled up my Tracfone account on a computer. You need to be at a wifi location where you know it's passcode. After you turn the phone on, it guides you through and uses the internet to set things up. Using wifi it pulled all my old phone apps and settings and Google drive files over from my old phone. I had stored my old pics and data onto a laptop ahead of time just in case.
The only thing I did on the Tracfone website was give the new phone's serial number and tell them I wanted to keep the same number. Left the phone on and waited. About 15 minutes later the phone chirped and dinged and I had a text saying my phone number was changed over. The phone through Samsung has a way to geo-locate your phone through their website. Google also allows you add a voice unlock after you set up the passcode.
The earpiece and speaker sound is good; pictures and video better than my old phone. Buttons on my phone are not stiff and work through the OEGO defender case just fine. I think I will like this OS better once I get used to it. There are useful apps and I spent the rest of the day playing with setup. Easy to use. Even one-handed thumb use is naturally easy. Much lighter weight and easier to hold than my old phone and same sized screen. Processor speed I would describe as instantaneous.
I think the J3 Luna is a great value and deserves its place as a best seller for the pay as you go phone user.
