Editorial Reviews

Review

"Chantal has a magical way with Alpha males. This book has great chemistry and intrigue. I was swept up in the storyline." (-Pepper Winters, NYT & USA Today Best Selling author)

"Chantal Fernando knows how to draw you in and keep you hooked. Dragon’s Lair is a biker book unlike any other, proving a bad ass chick can tame even the wildest of men. A heroine for the strong-willed women and an MC of hot bikers not to be missed." (-Angela Graham, New York Times & USA Today Best Selling Author)

"Cheek heating, gut wrenching, and beautifully delivered!" (Bella Jewel, USA Today bestselling author)

Hmmm... this was definitely my least favorite in this series so far. I absolutely adored Dragon's Lair. This one had moments, but then foundered for me.

Absolutely *loved* Lana. She was nerdy, spunky, independent and she didn't put up with Tracker's biker bs ... until the end.

But Tracker...
Completely blew the situation at the end out of proportion and never properly apologized. He kicked her out?? Are you kidding me?? After months of practically begging her to move in he kicks her out without even a conversation?? And then he tried to move on, but interfered when Lana did, too.Sorry, but after that he didn't come off as alpha, just a douche.

I also didn't like how everyone kept telling Lana how Tracker could have any women he wanted and if she didn't take him back he would be with someone else. So what! Lana had plenty of guys interested in her! She could move on, too. Was anyone rubbing that in Tracker's face? He was the one who messed up and was throwing a tantrum. All he had to to was have a five minute conversation with Lana to understand, but he wouldn't even try.

The whole secondary story with Allie at the end seemed thrown in for shock value and didn't further the story in any way.

This was an okay read until about the last third when it took some kind of weird "suck it up and let your man be a jerk to you" turn.

I liked this book but at times it felt rushed. It also bothered me that she just took him back so easy. After everything I felt the author just let it go way to easy. I also didn't understand how the author made it seem like she was keeping the fact she was an author a secret. SHE TOLD HIM!! I don't know, I really wanted to like. I was looking forward to his story and felt it was lacking. I also thought the suspense was very lacking.

**I received an ARC through Netgalley courtesy of the publisher in exchange for an honest review.**

We know from the previous books that Tracker and Lana have an undeniable attraction but Tracker has been warned to stay away from her so he's settled for a pseudo-relationship with Allie.

Tracker's End begins one year later where Tracker breaks it off with Allie because he's ready to stake his claim on Lana - Anna and his brothers be damned. But Lana doesn't make it easy for him. She's spent too long watching Tracker with Allie and Tracker cheat on Allie to know getting involved with him is a bad idea. But what do you do when the man you've been pining over is relentlessly pursuing you?

We learn some secrets about Lana. And I absolutely loved it. I kept thinking this going to be good when everyone finds out. And it was. Dra-ma!

Tracker made a few bonehead moves that I thought Lana was a little too quick to forgive but for the most part this was a great read. I really enjoyed it. Highly addictive! Well done!

Wow, Chantal Fernando has achieved something a few authors could get right – She made me cry. Tracker’s End was nothing what I expected – From start to end Tracker surprised me.

Lana is Anna’s best friend since childhood. Lana keeps Anna in line and Anna protects her – As Tracker says: “You are kind of small. Cute. It’s hot.” But he was quickly reminded of having a woman – Allie (ugh). Lana is the babysitter to Faye and Sin’s baby Clover – who is adorable and you just want to cuddle her. Clover is one chicky who knows she has all the men wrapped around her pinky.

What I love about Chantal’s writing is the way she gives us both characters points of view. It’s not one sided. And it’s funny, hot, serious and action packed as well. We also see all the previous one - LOVE THEM ALL!!

Tracker – my oh my – he surprised me so much. I want to just crawl over him because he is totally not what I have expected.
He is understanding, loving, patient and even though he was an alpha male to the core – he never imprinted on Lana that she HAD to do things a certain way. He allowed Lana to be comfortable and let her explore things – but under his protection though – and that made him even sexier.

Lana was such a breath of fresh air she is not a total innocent in the ways of the world. She is shy – but not a walk-over, she has a sweetness that attracts people to her and that is without her trying. She keeps somethings close to her chest – that also made a huge … wait-wait let’s not spoil any surprises. Lana is just a biker chick undercover. She is use to hiding and with the help of Anna and Faye – her inner Biker Chick comes out to kick the butt of her adversary… yes you need to read to find out.

I have to say – I had my hesitations about this book. The other two didn’t set my world on fire like a lot of other readers claimed it did for them. The first two books felt very similar so I had my concerns that this was going to be the same. So, I pulled on my big gal panties and dove on in. Turned out, this was a one-sit read for me and found it really enjoyable.
The reason I found it enjoyable was for the heroine, Lana. Lana seems to have her head switched on. She makes smart decisions and she’s successful in her own right. Now – the heroines of the first two books are not weak but the way they acted was immature to me. The fights they had, the way they’d respond to situations, just had me rolling my eyes in frustration. I’m loving that Lana has a secret identity – that was a great twist.
Tracker is tenacious. I really liked his non-threatening way of putting his intentions forward and slowly wore her down. It was nice to see the gang come back together and get an update on where they are with their lives.
It’s a shame that it took book three for me to see this series hit its stride – I almost didn’t finish book two but in saying that – the author can certainly spin a great tale with unpredictable plot and I’m keen to see what she has in store for the reader next.
I was given a free copy of this book for my honest opinion.
