McKenzie's character will make you want to become a journalist. She fears nothing and will not stop until she has answers. There always seems to be someone or something slowing her down, but don't doubt because McKenzie will use her resources to find what she needs.
The Trade brings in thrills to keep you reading. You will feel as if you are one of the victims searching for the "Cradle Robber" to save those ahead of you. Can it be done? Can you save them? Is there hope? Can McKenzie do it again? You MUST read to join the action!
The only con I had with this book is that I am a sucker for a good love story and really enjoyed Mac and Noah's relationship from Chain of Command. I was sad to not have Noah's character as strong in The Trade. However, I can't wait until the next McKenzie McClendon thriller!
Marshall has done such a great job researching and preparing for this book. It took a lot of work to understand the intricacies of the medical pieces that take part throughout this book. As with Chain of Command I was not disappointed for my summer reading! Bring on the next one :)
I didn't realize that there was a book 1 in this series, but for me, this didn't matter as it seemed just as good as a stand alone book.
There is someone preying on pregnant woman, cutting them and taking out the baby from their wombs. Leaving them to die and the taking the baby, all are almost full term pregnancies.
McKenzie McClendon is on the trail of finding him, its a search that takes many turns, leaves you gasping for breathe and shouting "get him/her, get him/her" or "oh no, not another victim".
I thoroughly enjoyed this books. I do like a good thriller!
