This set is not bad, but it's definitely a little light for those that are beginner knife throwers in my opinion. I started off with these and targeting cardboard, but when I graduated to wooden targets, it was harder to stick. I ended up purchasing a set of 8.5" double bladed throwing knives instead. If you want something just to fool around with, these are the right ones for you, however if you are serious about learning how to throw knives, I'd recommend carbon steel or at least 440 stainless steel with a starting size of 8.5"-10". Have fun!! :)

i turned 14 and got one of those prepaid visa cards. I looked on amazon and decide to order these. They arrived 4 days early and were ready to throw out of the box. On my 3rd throw I stuck the knife in my birch tree and it just went on from there. These knives are 6 inches and kind of lightweight. There were no directions included so you will have to experiment with your technique. I can make 20 foot throws easy and my farthest throw was about 40 feet. Overall, buy these if your a begginer

This knife set is great for just messing around if you dont know what your doing, also they are palm sized and extremely sharp, ive thrown them countless times and have no dents yet so thats a + also. Overall I'd recommend them if you want to buy these and try your hand at throwing knives

Fantastic!

Disclaimer: I am not an experienced knife thrower (like, at all), but I was able to figure these out pretty quick. They will stick in a target, and they are sharp, even if they aren't slice-through-bone-like-butter sharp. Solid too. I tested them out on a target (heads up: leave plenty of space, I got nicked by a ricocheting knife before I got the hang of it) and they feel well-balanced and the point sticks nicely. Nothing half-hearted about them, had to use a titch of force to get them out.

All in all: seems like a great buy for trying out knife-throwing. Inexpensive but easy to throw and fairly solid. I had a blast and can't wait to do it again (with more space. Should have been a no brainer, but it was cold out, which is I'm sure how many ER stories start). Be safe, and you'll have a great time with these.

I enjoyed tossing these even though I had no idea what I was doing. They are sharp, nicely machined and well balanced. Well worth the price.

Its a great throwing knife just not very durably but I believe thats mostly my fault for missing and hitting the metal plate. So keep in mind if you are planning to use this alot try and get a sharpener as well since the tip will bend with every miss. Or you can do what I do and try to hammer the thing flat. definitely not as pretty.

Now as you probably read the case is the worst part of this set, but its also a very easily fix. Just duct tape the hell out of it. I use red duct tape on mine, not very ninja but very safe conscious. I can easily tell if my little nephew is trying to kill the plants now. Be sure to reinforce the belt loop as well, or it will rip.

All in all its a pretty awesome buy, I recommend it to every ninja out there.

This was bought as a gift for a responsible 14 year old who is very involved in sports and likes outdoor activities. He was thrilled with this gift and has made targets to attach to trees in the woods. Knives have good balance and grip. Target practice teaches great hand and eye coordination.

I would like to start by saying that I am just a beginner. With that said, I have tried several different knives out and there these are pretty good.

The pros: For a novice, like myself, I like the balance. Straight out of the box, I did three rounds and nailed all three each time. They feel comfortable in my hands ( and I don't have skinny, dainty fingers). I can't compare this to professional throwing knives as I am not Pro. But I did enjoy throwing these.

The cons: I bent or broke all three tips. NOTE TO THROWERS - Make sure that you are not throwing the knives around really solid objects like concrete floors or stone pavers. The can AND will break or bend the tip.

Over all I did like them enough to order another set and add the to my hiking gear.
