Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute is a smooth blend of onion, black pepper, celery seed, cayenne pepper, parsley, basil, marjoram, bay leaf, oregano, thyme, savory, rosemary, cumin, mustard, coriander, garlic, carrot, orange peel, tomato, lemon juice and lemon oil. The various seasonings are blended in such a way that each flavor complements the others, as well as the dishes to which you add them. Leave the other spices out and add 21 Seasoning Salute to a vinaigrette, sprinkle some on burgers before you cook them, or add a dash (or several) to soups, sauces and dips. You can amp up the flavor even more if you sprinkle the blend into your palm first, and then break up the spices with your fingertips to release their essential oils. However you decide to use it, 21 Seasoning Salute is a quick, simple way to add an excellent balance of flavors, without spending a fortune stocking your spice shelves.

Great seasoning! It's easy to get addicted to this stuff and start shaking it on everything! The one thing I will say though, if you look at the ingredients, they are VERY similar to "Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper Blend" (Most ingredients are the same but the order/ratio is slightly different.) So if you are on a budget, you may find that Mrs. Dash has a similar taste at about half the price.

My husband's daughter uses this on salmon. I tried it and it's delicious! Place the salmon on some slices of onion on a piece of foil, sprinkle with the 21 Salute Seasoning and bake it in the oven (450) for 10 minutes or so depending on how thick the piece of salmon is, and it's SO good!!!

If you have a Trader Joe's within reach, you'll save money by buying in-store. These prices are considerably more, so you are paying a premium for the convenience. Our nearest store is over 90 miles away, so had to make use of Amazon when we ran out.

When I am near a Trader Joe's I pick these up for $1.99 each but ordering online is convenient when that is not an option.
