There is no easy way to tell this story, multiple books and reliable first hand accounts do not and will not exist. This story is based on actual events and they just are not easy to portray on screen. There will always be some form of dramatic or artistic liberties. However, this story needed to be told because it reveals a real problem that is not being covered enough. I hope it finds a strong audience of parents and teens, creating a informative and productive dialogue. I will be sharing it with my daughters.
Low budget BUT definitely something parents and older teens should still watch to understand how easily humans can be trafficked and to have these kinds of talks with their kids for their own safety because this definitely IS a parent’s worst nightmare! It’s definitely one of those films where you can look past the quality of the film due to it having important content we should all be aware of especially today where this happens more often than we think or even want to believe. The ONLY reason why I gave it 3 starts was due to the quality. Honestly there should be more videos like this out there so more parents can be aware that it’s is part of the world we live in now and something we SHOULD worry about with our children. It’s sad that that’s the reality of it, but with awareness, we can prevent it more.
What I like most about this movie is that it gets the word out there about what is going on in this country. It is a movie you can watch with your kids to hopefully help educate them without being overly graphic and disturbing like some othertrafficing movies.
