This is, as other reviewers have noted, an excellent value; also, I found no obvious defects in the workmanship, unlike some reviewers (particularly on a popular auction site). I am not a welding expert, but common sense tells me the welds are properly done, professional looking, and therefore, correct. Simply put, it looks and works great ... with 2 caveats. First, it did not come with Lynch pins to attach the 2 hitch pins to the lower draw-bar arms; this is an odd oversight, as everything else is included to get the user going quickly. Second -- and this has nothing to do with the quality of the hitch -- if you are going to tow (as in from the garage to the back yard) a heavy trailer (as in a Boston Whaler fishing boat), you should move the tow ball (in my case, the 2" ball) to the middle hole, otherwise, the hitch has a tendency to sway (nerve wracking).
It's well built, comes with 1 7/8" and 2" balls, clevis hook, top link pin and clip, 7/8" bottom pins.
Nothing is tightened, so you can assemble the unit to fit your needs, compact and sub compacts will almost certainly have to install the lower pins facing IN, larger tractors can face them out. If you primarily intend to use it for trailers, mount that size ball in the center for better pulling.
Although it comes with the clevis hook, I believe most tractors recommend against using the 3 point for heavy pulling, preferring instead to use frame mounted point (such as the drawbar) for pulling.
You will need to supply your own clips for the lower pins, if you already have another 3 point attachment then you can just use the pins from that, if this is your first, or you just like each attachment to have it's own hardware you will want to order some pins at the same time.
I ordered mine on a sunday afternoon and it arrived wednesday, as long as it is in stock, you probably won't have to wait the 2-3 days the description says before it ships.
That's the good.
Now for the bad..
With the pins mounted on the inside and the top link adjusted to make the unit vertical, it's very likely your lower bars will hit the frame of the adapter before it reaches it's full height. It's more than high enough for trailer lifting, but is something you might want to be aware of.
ONE WORD OF CAUTION: Be sure this item is level and "locked in" with the 3 Point hitch linkage so that it cannot move or rotate during use. I neglected to do this the first use and bent my trailer coupler because the tow bar was able to sway and rotate in the 3 point hitch.
ONE LAST CAUTION: After a few uses, I noticed the hitch balls had come loose; evidently not tightened sufficiently when the item was assembled. No bit deal to tighten but keep and eye out to be sure yours have not become loose!
