there may be some useful info here, but it's well hidden among such gems as "Great Dane's have such large bodies, they need a soft place to lie down", (who knew?) and "The last thing you want at a party is your Great Dane showing off his bad habits of eating their own feces, it just is not good, and you need to take care of it immediately".
stating the obvious? not to vince stead! personally, i'd rather spend my time and money on a volume from a reputable publisher on generic dog training. this book may claim to be "breed specific", but it is so weak that - well, i think i've made my point.

Nothing in this book was helpful, at one point it even referred to a mastiff instead of a Great Dane. The grammar and spelling was so distracting that I quit reading. You're much better off finding a website about a Great Dane. Worst $3 I've ever spent...end of story.

As a relatively new Dane owner, I am always interested in ideas, tips and help with raising my Great Dane Puppy. This book is THE most ridiculous, useless piece of junk I have ever purchased...it's too bad that allowing my Dane to chew it up would be counterproductive to my goals.

Adding insult to injury; I also purchased "New Improved Great Dane Understanding and Training Guide Book" by the same author; which is almost an exact duplicate of the first piece of junk.

I did learn something valuable with this purchase, but nothing about a Great Dane.

Didnt want to give a full star, maybe 1/5th of a star because it showed up ontime, only thing good about this order......

This book seems like it was written by a second grader for a second grader to read. The grammar and spelling was so hideous and distracting, it was laughable. I will not finish the book and would be ashamed to try to resell on Amazon. Don't waste a penny on this. Don't forget, ' your dog will sleep on and off threw out the day' - really?

By page eight I have been able to determine the following:

The whole book is one gigantic quote! Yes, every single paragraph is a quote.
Though I wasn't an english major, I have lost count of grammatical errors by page eight, which includes the title page.

While I do plan to finish this book, I wanted to warn others before money is wasted.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!

This book had basic guidance combined with horrible editing, grammar, punctuation, etc., which just gives the feel that it is one person's opinion and not based on actual research....the guidance was also not specific to the breed; you could find it in the most basic dog training pamphlet.

This was a terribly written book with little or no editing. There were grammatical errors on just about every page of the ebook and several sections were duplicated.
