language takes you to Jamaica. The black and white photography is lovely and almost austere. It allows the reader to imagine the dreamy, tropical island in the colors of imagination. The Jamaica given to us by Evelyn Nathan is a place of poignant memory and gritty images which make it real to those who travel there by way of her poetry.
