Sandra Sanada currently lives in Tokyo, Japan. She's a former theater director and actress. She also worked as a screenwriter for several years. This is her first novel inspired by a love story she lived while she was traveling throughout Europe trying to cope with her divorce and the death of her flight instructor.

Sandra Sanada's clever title begins an intriguing journey for readers. Admitting that sorrow is an emotion which can be untrained and learn happiness through technique and training is an idea rarely debated. I enjoyed the author's construction of the story and how I really felt the emotional highs and lows along with the main characters. Authentic, familiar, easy to read, balanced with moments of bursting laughter and moments of deep introspection.
I really enjoyed this book. It is well written, the story is easy to follow, the characters are absolutely amazing and the plot unexpected. I ordered a few more copies after I read it because it is elegant and an useful gift for my friends. I was impressed by the quality of the book, thanks to the printing department of Amazon, of course, thanks to the author choice too and it also has a nice, simple cover, which gave me a feeling of peace. Great job! I highly recommend this book to read and to offer it as gift to friends.
