"Are you looking for a heart stopping page turner? I wasn't, but I found one. Santos stepped outside her comfort zone and I'm so glad she did. Traitor has everything! Mystery, intrigue, romance, suspense. And a chemistry so flammable between Andie and Kaleb, I could feel heat radiating from the pages. And talk about a twist I didn't see coming...WHOA!! 5 BRILLIANT and INTRIGUING STARS from me."
- Beth Flynn, USA Today Bestselling Author
"Traitor is a book that catches you out of left field and proceeds to completely consume you."
- Darlene Avery, Darlene & Dexter's Book Nook
"For me, traitor wasn't just a story. It was an experience. I probably, lived Andie's desperation and Kaleb's pain. But I definitely, died for their love story."
- Saffron A. Kent, Bestselling Author
"I don't even feel like I can come up with adequate words to fully give this book the credit it deserves. Seriously, one of the most profound, thought provoking stories I've ever read. This book is everything and so much more...This book is absolute perfection."

No. That's not what it is. It’s the story you never expected to be written. It is so unique, so different it’s a category killer between suspense, romance, adult dystopian, new adult, and something entirely eclectic. It draws you in and doesn’t stop until you’re rushed out on the other side with a gasp of incredulity.
As a reader, you need to be a lover of—
Not knowing where the author leads you.
Yes. Go blind into Traitor, and you will thank me later.
It’s poignant yet to the point, edited to perfection, not wasting words while still giving the reader everything in the full color palette needed. Sometimes, it paints hopeless shades of gray. At other times it’s the vibrant energy of sunny skies.
Alyson Santos is the master of twists, and in Traitor, the mystery of Kaleb Novelli—the soldier, the man, the captor, the prisoner—unravels slowly between the obsessed fingers of Andie Sorenson. As readers, we follow a budding love that soon plunges deep. We learn to know the unwavering kindness of a marked man and the strength of an intelligent woman with an agenda.
I’ll leave you with a message that might remain cryptic until that last page:
Saviors and saved. When all is said and done, it’s still unclear who’s who.
Traitor is unlike anything I've ever read. Creative. Suspenseful. Sweet. Mysterious. Funny. Surprising.
And intense. So, so intense.
I don't do book summaries in my reviews, but this needs a little something, I think. The US is at war--a civil war--between the Free People and the Government Forces. Andie and her mother are taken from their homes by the GF (Government Forces) and put into a refugee camp, where they are split up and unable to see each other. Like all refugees, Andie is given a job--as an administrative assistant to the amputee soldier Kaleb Novelii. He's not what he seems, and inside the office of this man is the last place she ever thought she'd find compassion. But she does. And that's when things get sticky.
Andie is strong-willed, for sure. Head-strong and nosey and stubborn. Kaleb is secretive, patient, and clearly understands more than he tells Andie. He didn't ask for her to be his assistant. He doesn't invite her questions. And he certainly had no intention of falling for her. No, because feeling anything for her would destroy everything.
I promise that you'll try and guess the end of this book. I had plenty of my own theories, but I wasn't even close. Author Alyson Santos did a KO job on this book. It's one you definitely won't see coming.

I was hooked from the very first page, and to me, this is a sign of a great story.
The connection between Kaleb and Andie is evident from the first meeting, it's so strong and goes deep as their relationship builds. Andie feels that pull instantly. Even though it is obvious Kaleb has secrets, she can't help her attraction. If anything, it draws her in more. I love how strong Andie's character is, she doesn't shy away. She's a stickler for a fact!!
And holy twist batman! Just when you think you know what's going on and where the story is taking you, you're hit with it. No spoilers here, but this story kept me enthralled throughout and in true Alyson form, the surprises shocked!!
It takes something special for me to want to read a book over and over, and Traitor is that kind of special. It is epically special.
I want to be able to give it so many more than 5 stars, but I can't so 5 will have to be enough! It is definitely one of my top books of the year.
Everyone needs this book in their lives, MUST READ.
There are futuristic vibes to this story but also there are testaments to the indomitable spirit of human beings in love and war. Bizarre story.
