I'm a detransitioner. We exist. Our lives matter. Despite what the media, the pro-transition activists, and the virtue-signaling "allies" would have you otherwise believe.
The rush to "transition" by doctors to provide a false, physical cure for mental/social dysphoria is happening. And we who regret or desist or detransition are abandoned by the medical establishment, by legal advocacy groups, and by our former peers.
We're promised an exit upon entry into the fold, until we ask to leave. Then we're left to fend for ourselves—or worse, we're given new, more impossible barriers than ever before. And many of us simply give up and shut up. But the path back to our natural bodies and truly free selves is absolutely the right and just path to seek.
I'm so thankful for Walt's courage in telling our stories.

About the Author
Walt Heyer lived as a transgender woman for 8 years, detransitioned back to male over 25 years ago, and now uses his 74 years of transgender life experience to bring a message of hope to others who want to know how to detransition like he did. A world-renowned speaker, Heyer has appeared in an impressive list of media, including CNN, BBC News, Russian Television (RT), Russia's Channel One, Laura Ingram, Glenn Beck, Dr. Drew, Steven Crowder, The Sydney Morning Herald, El Mercurio (Chile), and Daily Mail (UK). Heyer has written over 50 articles for Public Discourse, The Federalist and Daily Signal. One of his articles was featured in the internal daily briefing for the West Wing of the White House. Heyer unapologetically refused to live out his life as a transgender female. Instead, he looked to Jesus Christ and through prayer was redeemed and restored to his male identity. Heyer lives happily with his wife of 21 years.

I was born male, transitioned to female because that's what the research and my counselors confirmed - that the gender dysphoria would go away as soon as my body matched my mind. I was in distress and believed "them" because they were the experts. In short - "they" were Wrong! My problems did not go away but rather increased. Many years later I transitioned back to male and, through Jesus, have much joy for doing so. I thought I was alone but learned, though Mr. Heyer, that I am just one of many many who has detransitioned.
If you are looking for information on transgenderism and the transgender issue, I recommend this book. The stories and information it contains was not available to me when I was searching and making life changing decisions, but I'm thankful Mr. Heyer has made it available now.

I just finished reading Walt Heyer's book Trans life survivors. It is most excellent and to my knowledge is the first book to shed light on the issue of transsexual reversal in any detail. With what seems like the entire medical establishment marching toward gender affirming surgery, Heyer examines the many challenges of people who have de-transitioned. He includes some of the history of the medical organizations who now support gender affirming surgery which shed more light on how we got to this sorry state. Excellent book, and I would hope any person considering SRS or pills would read it and re-consider. Thank you Mr. Heyer for this fine work.

Everyone will understand the true issues underneath the "happiness" of transgender philosophy by reading this book. Heyer's work is amazing because it reveals the truth in love. What else could be better? There's nothing better than hearing from a person who has actually gone through these issues to learn the truth. Nothing could be better than hearing a call for the truth that is expressed with such deep love and understanding for those who have not only been abused during childhood but who get even more abuse from people who are supposed to be licensed clinicians. These issues are so very traumatic, and caring for them via books such as this is what will help those struggling with dysphoria move toward truth and hope...real hope based on the research and compassion.

I have often worried about adolescents encouraged to transition. There's no way their minds are ready to make that decision. This book confirms that from the beginning even though children aren't specifically discussed until the last half of the book.

It’s clearly self-published, but the fact is that it’s a one of a kind book with extremely important information. No one was willing to publish it and the author took it upon himself to publish it anyway, and the great sacrifice shows.
The author focuses on religions sometimes more than on the testimonies, that’s where I got lost and probably most people it’s trying to reach get lost as well. Still, once you get past that and read the testimonies as they are, it’s shocking and heartbreaking.

Everyone should read this book to inform themselves before voting. As a mental health professional it is constantly appalling to me the deplorable harm that my colleagues and those in the medical professional are causing individuals and our nation at large by being more concerned with pushing an agenda than with actually taking appropriate and do-no-harm care of people who are suffering. We are constantly told in trainings of increasing sexual violence, how the LGBTQ community is at higher risk of sexual assault than others, AND how 1 in 2 transgender people have suffered sexual abuse or assault--BUT I HEAR AGAIN AND AGAIN THAT THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PURSUE HORMONE TREATMENT (CHEMICAL VIOLENCE) AND SURGERY (PHYSICAL VIOLENCE) WITHOUT APPROPRIATE TRAUMA THERAPY TO ADDRESS THE SEXUAL TRAUMA FIRST. It is disgusting and abhorrent to me that anyone who treats these people like poster children for their agenda, instead of like wounded people who need healing, has the gall to call themselves a "health" professional. Not to mention the long term negative affects on the body (described in the book) and how hormones and surgeries do not in any way alleviate the mental illness symptoms people are suffering from.
Now, as early as 2 years old in daycares children are being ENCOURAGED to choose their sexuality and change their names--clearly nothing about the trans movement is interested in the good and wellness of people. 2 year olds are still working on figuring out how their legs coordinate to walk, they should not under any circumstances be subjected to propaganda that will result directly in mental illness (way to tell children they have no idea who they are and give them an identity complex before they can even communicate if their feelings with their words).
My only critique would be that I would have preferred the format of the book to be flipped: Facts, science, etc. first, testimonials second.

Was disappointed in several ways. While the information is appreciated, I found it all too repetitious.
