This unique anthology contains so many different perspectives on what it means to pursue (and experience) love, and lust. Often erotic without being "erotica," many of these well-written pieces, like Shawna Virago's "Jolly Jumper," contain humor, both subtle and overt, as well as surprising insights about self-perception. It's a mind-expanding read, much like Morty Diamond's first trans anthology From the Inside Out: Radical Gender Transformation, FTM and Beyond, that's destined to increase our understanding of what it means to be human. Highly recommended (for mature readers)!

This book is a collection of intimate portrayals, but not just intimacy as in sex, but intimacy as in peering into the depths of the authors' hearts. These hearts are brimming over with fears, uncertainty, excitement, and anticipation. There are things you might like to ask someone, but seldom would one get the opportunity for so personal a response. I like the variety of authors included and highly recommend this book. We are adding it to our book club reading list. If you are an open minded individual, you won't be disappointed.

each page of the book has me drifting into a daydream. i put the book down and off i go.
it's words and ideas resonate and inspire me.
reading the words of another transperson who sees things the way i do is powerful. I'm not alone.
we can make our own rules!

it's all in the book, love stories, sex stories, stories of self exploration, realization and acceptance.
this book pushes me to dwell on uncomfortable concepts, like who i really am and what i really want.
but at the same time opens up more possibilities than i realized exsisted.

i nursed it like a fine wine not wanting it to end. and sadly it did. i can honestly say my life is better
having read this book.

I'll be honest, this book is not quite what I was expecting it to be. It is however a great veiw into many different individuals relationships and how they grew, ended or changed over time. Not all of the stories included in this compilation are great but most are very interesting and make you think about yourself and empathise with others.
I'd recommend it to anyone interested in learning about people in this community and getting their perspective.

I am generally a fan of essay collections centered on a single subject, so this book easily caught my attention. In this volume, trans writers explore their shifting identities via autobiographical pieces. Some of the stories are about sex and dating, while others veer more heavily into politics. I appreciated both the quality of writing and the range of voices included. Whatever the core focus, these essays have a raw quality that compels. What emerges is a certainty that there is no trans archetype, and the umbrella that encompasses the queer community is broader than even the most generous estimate.
