This is an exceptionally beautiful and sturdy CD rack.
PROS
• The unit was extremely well packed in its shipping container.
• Beautiful. The sides are dark glass that are mirrored on the outside face, which gives a very nice effect. The outside bolt heads are made invisible with metallic caps.
• The unit is very sturdy.
• The three-bar design keeps the CDs nicely in place.
• The clear plastic “book ends” keeps CDs upright if a rack is not completely full.
• The instructions that came with the unit are clear .
• All of the components are well marked.
• The product includes an Allen wrench and an open-end wrench, so no additional tools are needed
• Considering what you get, the price seems fair to me.
CONS
• The outside edge of the brass washers are threaded so the caps can screw onto them. This is a very nice idea. Unfortunately, the threads were not always carefully machined so that the caps will sit completely flush with the glass. Some work fine, others not so much. It is something that most people won’t notice, but it is also something that shouldn’t be too hard to fix during the manufacturing process. I would have given the product 5 stars except for this flaw.
• There is a lot of play between the bolts and the center hole of the brass washers. An improvement would be to make the hole smaller so that the brass washer is more precisely centered. Again, not a big deal, but something that could definitely be improved.
• Be prepared to spend a couple of hours putting this unit together. It isn’t hard but it does take time, especially for one person.
• Note that the feet of the unit will place it a few inches from any wall behind the unit. This can be seen in the accompanying image.
