Bree is a highly educated, conservative transsexual woman who passes as a G.G., living in a poor section of Los Angeles and working two jobs to save money for her final sexual reassignment surgery. Her life takes an unexpected journey when she learns that when she was a he, she fathered a son, now a teenage runaway hustling on the streets of New York. When she receives a phone call from Toby, who's looking for his father, she realizes she must confront her past. She flies to New York to bail Toby out of jail and offers him a ride cross-country, secretly plotting to abandon him with the stepfather he ran away from.

If you are transphobic but have some sense of open mindedness you might give this a try, it may help you understand those you do not know. If you are of the Abomination crowd, why bother, your mind is already made up, the last thing Our Savior would want you to do is have any compassion or understanding for such people. Christ without compassion is that your version of Christianity?
If you have the concept of it is not authentic enough, write your own movie. Make it and we'll all hope for critical acclaim. Sometimes if you are too close to something you get a myopic view and don't see the big picture. If you concentrate on finding fault guess what you'll find. And you won't be able enjoy it because you won't see the good side.
This was well done and clearly a subject that many cannot abide. OK start castigating me. Ready Set GO!
The whole connection between them I thought was uncompleted as it don't say if they ever formed any relationship which was disappointing to say the least. I would of liked to of seen more. Another Women does a much better job of the long lost Parent returning to surprised kids.
I don't want to spoil the movie for those who plan on watching it. It is not a bad movie just far from great. I would suggest watching it on Netflex or renting it before you buy.
