This CF card is great, fast, and very reliable. I bought two of them and I am pleased that I can confidently use them without fear of losing any photo or video stored on them. Transfer to pc is fast and I can shoot video or multiple action photos in RAW + Large size Jpeg at the same time (which is a huge file size on a canon 7d) and get all the action recorded without having to stop. That's important because I record my son running, playing, and those pictures are invaluable to me.

This is the size card I was looking for. I have 2GB, and a couple of 4GB cards, but I shoot three basketball games a day and believe it or not,I could fill up a 4GB card in the third game. Now I don't have to change the cards at the wrong moment. This will be wonderful, and the speed of the card when I download is great. The cards came factory sealed and in just a few days as promised. I would defiantly buy from the seller again.

I thought hard if I should leave this review here, as I did not buy this product. Finally I decided to do it, because I almost bought it going by the description at Amazon, and I thought leaving this information here would help others not fall for the wrong info. The problem is 8GB and 16GB versions of this card are NOT 400x-write (as per transcend's own website - [...] - not sure Amazon will display that link there). Only the 32GB and 64GB versions can do 400x (i.e. 60MBps). The 8GB and 16GB versions can write only at 200x (i.e. 30MBps), which is takes out the cost advantage for this card. In terms of in-camera performance, for today's DSLR that means you can do only a little over 1fps, and that was a deal breaker for me :(

Ich hinterlass hier mal eine Info für die Nachwelt.
Es soll anscheinend noch mehr von meiner Sorte geben die so wie ich alten Computerschrott nicht leichtfertig entsorgen. Man könnte ja und irgendwann und vielleicht, wer weis das Teil noch mal gebrauchen. Unlängst war es wieder so weit.
Langeweile im Kopf; Ich brauch ein Problem. Was hab ich noch nicht probiert? Es blitzt. Ein Mailserver muß her. Was tun? Ab in den Keller und die Lade der kostbaren Habseligkeiten geöffnet. Einen Compaq Armada M300 ausgebuddelt und vom Staub befreit. Mann da werden Erinnerungen wach. Kurzerhand mit dem gefundenen Netzteil (Aber Hallo; hab ich ne Ordnung :-) Leben eingehaucht und gleichzeitig an Werner Beinhart gedacht. "Der geht ja noch. Tut das not das der hier so rum oxidiert" So was kann niemand verantworten. Daher ab in die Bastelstube.
Nach einigen Tagen stand das Konzept. Festplatte raus und mit CF Karte ersetzen. Dafür hab ich mir im Netz einen Festplattenrahmen und einen CF Adapter besorgt sowie nach langer Recherche diese Transcend 8GB 400x CF Karte. Der Rahmen schlug sich mit gut 2Euro und der CF Adapter mit 5Euro zu Buche. Die 8GB CF hab ich, für Win XP hätte es auch eine 2GB getan, eigentlich mehr vorrausschauned genommen. Wer weis was mir als nächstes wieder einfällt. Die Stifte der Steckleiste mußte ich beim CF Adapter bei den Lötpunkten noch mit einen kleinen Seitenschneider kürzen. Zur Sicherheit hab ich aber Isolierband über die Stifte geklebt. Somit wird mir auch das Gehäuse nicht zu Kontaktfreudig. Das Ganze kompletiert und in den Schacht geschoben. Mit einen langen dünnen Schraubendreher den instabielen Rahmen an den Steckkontakten in die Kontaktleiste des Festplatteneinschubes gedrückt und anschließend mit einer XP-CD den alten Armada gebootet. Hab dann die CF auf NTFS formatiert und XP installiert. Im Netz gab es dann noch nützliche Tips um XP bei CF Installation entsprechend zu optimieren.
Für die Mailserveraktion hab ich mich nach eine Probe von vielerlei anderen für den Jana Server entschlossen. Die Entscheidung ist aber absolut nicht schwer gefallen. Er war nur der letzte auf meiner Liste. Denn es handelt sich bei Jana nicht nur um einen Mailserver sonderen um ein absolutes Multipaket. ...und das vollkommen kostenlos für Privatanwendungen. Was einen aber bei der Benützung am Rande des schlechten Gewissen bringt. Die Software ist so vielfältig und dermasen einfach aufgebaut das es einen geradezu drängt hier auch eine entsprechende Spende abzugeben. Und noch eins. Der Server spricht von Geburt aus "Deutsch" Ich bin immer noch voll erstaunt was hier auf die Beine gestellt wurde. Absolut RESPEKT!! Ja noch eins. Jana hat auch noch ein Webinterface. Juhuuuu!!
Nun gut; Mit 11 Watt Stromverbrauch werkelt der Old M300 absolut leise jetzt bei mir im Schrank und "ik freu mir" wie ein Kind vorm Christbaum. Die CF Karte funktioniert und man wird sehen wie lange sie den Maildienst mit den daraus folgenden Schreib und Lesezugriffen aushält. Ja übrigends; Wireshark hab ich natürlich auch noch kurzerhand darauf installiert. Eigentlich nur zur Kontrolle ob der Mailverkehr wirklich verschlüsselt abläuft.
So das wars. Vielleicht hab ich mal wieder einige zum Basteln angeregt. Aber was soll man sonst über eine 4x3,5cm grosse CF Karte großartiges schreiben und das Lieferungen von Amazon funktionieren ist ja auch hinlänglich jeden schon bekannt.

Der geheime Sandisk-Killer

Diese Karte ist ein Sandisk-KILLER.

Sie erreicht auf meinem bekannt sehr schnellen Hama 35-in-1 USB 2.0 Leser ab 2MB Dateigrösse durchgängig Schreibgeschwindigkeiten von um 15-18 MB/sec und Lesegeschwindigkeiten von 31-33MB/s. Gemessen mit dem Filebenchmark von HDTune. Sie reizt also im Lesen die Grenze von USB 2.0 voll aus.

Das ist schon fast die Geschwindigkeit einer USB 2.5-Zoll Festplatte. Unglaublich für eine Speicherkarte in dieser Grösse zu diesem Preis. Keine Sandisk in dieser Grössen- und Preisklasse kann das.

Für meine Nikon D2x, mit der ich RAW schiesse und die nicht schneller als 12 MB/s wegschreiben kann, schon fast überdimensioniert, also noch Potential nach oben für modernere Kameras.

Zum Vergleich: Die goldene 600x - Version in 16GB schreibt noch etwas schneller weg (ca 20-24MB), liest aber langsamer ein (27-30 MB/s).

Wer also nicht grade eine Kamera mit modernster höchster Schreibgeschwindigkeit hat, ist mit dieser Karte vorzüglich bedient, weil er neben hohem Schreibspeed den wohl höchstmöglichen Lesespeed bekommt.

In meinen Augen eine Topkarte und zu diesem Preis volle 5 Sterne wert.

J'ai achété cette carte pour l'utiliser sur un Canon 5D MKII.
je ne l'ai pas utilisé en condition extrême, mais en usage standard, cette carte m'a donné entière satisfaction.
Seul bémol, sur les trois cartes achetées, l'une d'elles s'est régulièrement bloquée lors du déchargement des photos via l'utilitaire EOS Utility de Canon (sachant qu'avec d'autres cartes 4Go d'autres marques, j'ai très rarement rencontré ce problème).
Etait ce un défaut d'une des trois cartes ? Une moindre qualité de cette marque (j'utilise d'autres marques habituellement) ?
... je n'ai pas approfondie.

A noter que le passage de 4Go à 8 Go apporte un confort non négligeable losrque l'on est mode reportage avec une fréquence de "shoot" importante.

Bon compromis pour un appareil photo

Cette carte remplace une carte 2Go 133x de la même marque.
Je l'utilise sur un appareil photo reflex.
Il n'y a pas d'amélioration notable lors de l'utilisation de l'appareil, si ce n'est que je peux y stocker plus de photos. En particulier, le temps d'écriture des clichés sur la carte n'est pas diminué.

Il y a en revanche un gain notable lors du transfert des photos sur le PC via un lecteur de cartes USB2.
Je passe de 5Mo/s à 25Mo/s, ce qui est très sensible lorsqu'on doit transférer plusieurs Go de clichés.

Le service Amazon est toujours aussi performant : commandée un matin, reçue le lendemain, très bien embalée (avec d'autres produits).

Was braucht man mehr wenn man noch eine CF Karte verwendet?

Mit der Sandisk Extreme IV gerade mal 6 Fotos /s, mit der Transcend war bei 39 Schluss - das reicht wohl, weiterer Kommentar überflüssig. Auch nach dem Formatieren in der Kamera änderte sich nichts, die Werte bleiben überzeugend, sprich unverändert. Einlesen am PC sichtlich und deutlich flotter.
