As others have noted, these are great for devices which cannot format or handle the memory size of more modern SD (SDHC + SDXC) cards. Most importantly for me, these work with the Remstar PR System One C-Pap machines. From what I've read they use the same technology as most other C-PAP devices, so if you have another model you can purchase these with a high level of confidence.
If you have an older device of any kind there's a couple things to keep in mind:
In this kind of a scenario transfer speeds are rather irrelevant, as the speed of the SD card is limited by the older SD controller.
If your device came with standard SD cards there's a high likelihood you'll be capped at 2GB and have to buy these "Standard SD" devices. However, in some instances you may be able to perform a firmware update to allow SDHC cards to be accepted, which you might want to consider if it's for use in a camera or something which would benefit from the higher capability.
Don't use a price per GB comparison: Some have complained about the price- noting that for example a newer Sandisk SDHC 32gb model is currently ~ $13. So, why pay $10 for a 2gb? Seems imbalanced, right? Wrong.
These reviewers aren't getting it. The older SD technology isn't really in production and there's a small market for it (really just older device compatibility) so we aren't comparing apples to apples here. Take a look at what new blank VHS tapes are going for. I shouldn't compare that to the price of blank DVD's.
Sony 6T120VR 120-Minute VHS 6-Pack (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
Comparing apples to apples, this Transcend 2GB currently at $9.99 with prime shipping is the best deal on amazon by about $5 currently for the Standard SD cards.
If you need these for a device you think you will be using for some time to come, it might be wise to stock up.
Anyhow, the bottom line is that for an older device this item is about as good as it's going to get. You can check your product manufacturer's website for updated firmware, but if you are not technically inclined and want a zero-headache solution just pull the trigger already.

Works perfect on GameCube for booting swiss (with partition adjustments, read below)
Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2020Verified Purchase
So I'm using this on my GameCube console to boot swiss. I noticed some reviews stating it will work, while others said doesn't work at all for this purpose. I will say this did not work as formatted out of the packaging. Here is the trick I used to make it work (note simply formatting to fat 16 or 32 will not fix the problem, it's a partition ID setting you have to change using a special program, not windows format utility!!!
-Search for this program and install free standard edition: AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition
-Insert your new Transcend 2GB sd card and launch AOMEI.
-Identify the correct "disk" and right click the drive letter where it says (example: G: "name of sd") then hover to Advanced, and click "Change Partition ID Type". Make sure you are right clicking the SD and not another one of your hard drives by mistake!
-Click the drop down menu and select "0x0B FAT 32" then select ok.
-You will be returned to the main AOMEI screen. Click the APPLY button on the very top left corner, and and confirm you wish to make the changes.
-Once this is complete and you get a success message, right click the sd card again and select "Format"
-Enter whatever you like in Partition Label, I called mine SWISS
-Select FAT32 under File System
-I chose 16KB under Cluster Size (only one that worked for me) then click ok. Once again you'll be returned to AOMEI main screen.
-Click APPLY in the very top left corner again and confirm. Once you get success message you're done! The partition ID was corrected to one the GameCube and SWISS or Action Replay disk will understand.
-Finally, copy swiss folder contents onto the SD card and refer to emukidid's instructions on GitHub website with help on loading proper files on SD for successful booting.
I was close to returning the memory card until I stumbled upon these settings in AOMEI, so glad I was patient and did some deep troubleshooting! I use action replay disk to boot swiss off this Transcent 2GB memory card with no issues now. It sounds tough but really isnt! WARNING- I do not guarantee this will work for everyone, it worked for me so this is just a tip on how I got mine to work and prevent frustration of returns and buying another card when this one was just partitioned differently than the others!! If done wrong, this could corrupt your new SD card so please understand this advice does not come with warranty, promise, or guarantee, I'm just tying to help others any way I can that are confident in giving this a try understanding the potential consequences of having to make a return anyways or losing the cost. Thanks and good luck out there!

Bough this SD card because I have an older radio Jensen 5112 and no other SD Card I had worked. I later looked up online that the SD Card needed to be 2GB or smaller to work. Since it is very hard to find 4GB, 2GB, or 1GB SD cards at most stores, I tried this Transcend SD Card and it works great. Please note that if you are looking for an SD card this small you are probably doing it for a very specific reason or using older equipment with it. Please note if you are using this with older equipment you may need to format this SD Card for a specific format type FAT16, Fat 32, etc. So if the SD Card does not work right away in your older device it may be that you need to format it.

Full size 2GB Standard Digital card
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 29, 2016Verified Purchase
Why would you want to buy a standard size 2GB SD card in this day and age? My 8 year old Fuji digital camera takes SD cards with a max capacity of 2GB. I have tried higher capacity SD cards but they have not worked which is a real shame.
You can buy higher capacity SD cards from Amazon at a lower price than the 2GB. For example, I could have bought a 32GB for the same price. It's all about supply and exploit.
While writing this review, I thought of something that might work and safe you money. Standard SD cards were introduced in approx. 1999 while mini SD cards came on the market around 2003. You could buy a mini SD to SD card adaptor along with a mini SD card to do the job. This will work out a lot cheaper in the long run especially if you are looking at buying a number of 2GB SD cards.
I will provide an update once I have tested this out. If you beat me to it then please let me know.
In summary, a good card suitable for older technology devices that are limited to 2GB in capacity.

Not compatible with Nikon D50
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 28, 2019Verified Purchase
Bought specifically for son's Nikon D50 and despite Q&A/reviews clearly saying these were compatible, when we came to install them whilst in the middle of the Maasai Mara we found that was not the case. To make matters worse, by this time we were outside the Amazon returns window. Had we any doubt they might not have been compatible we would have tried them as soon as they arrived but nevertheless not a great experience all in all! Good job we had other cameras with us!
Contacted Memory C and Amazon. Amazon Customer Service excellent as usual and processed a full refund.

Works fine in the RNS-E SatNav/entertainment system in a 2007 Audi
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 2, 2017Verified Purchase
I bought this card specifically to use with SD slots on the RNS-E SatNav/entertainment systems (behind the display screen) on a 2007 Audi which has no native iPod/iPhone USB-based slot. These systems are very choosy about the SD card you used and it's fine with these cards. I can copy MP3 music to this card and play it in my car.

these cards are very good I have one the same from years ago if bought on amazon they are genuine and inside the manufacturers packaging (a good sign) if your camera doesn't have many mega-pixels they will take a lot of pictures if you find them expensive to save I would use a computer to "bounce" your pics onto a cheaper card or device. hope this helps
