I'm very happy with this purchase. These little pipettes work great. I removed the orifice reducer from my larger bottle, inserted the pipette and gave a gentle squeeze. The oil easily went into the pipette. The oil came out very easily into the smaller bottle with a light squeeze. A very minimal amount of oil was left in the pipette, so this helped me reduce wasting oils.
I also tried using these to get just a drop out. When I didn't squeeze the bulb the essential oil would slowly drop out one drop at a time. These would be very useful if your essential oil bottle doesn't have an orifice reducer or if your reducer gives drops too quickly.
I also tried these with a carrier oil (fractionated coconut). These also worked very well filling up with oil and dispersing the oil. I find a lot of the lids on carrier oils make a mess when trying to fill a roller bottle. This is a great alternative that I look forward to using on future oil projects.
These pipettes are a great value. Each pipette is about $.05. The cost of a pipette is far less than the cost of wasted essential oils.
I have tried various pipettes that were included with roller bottles or glass storage bottles and these are a little better quality. This is however a disposable pipette that I only expect to use once, so my expectations are not high about durability. They are a one time use product and these are a great buy for that purpose.
I will definitely be buying this product again when my supply runs low. They work great and reduce messes. These are very convenient and a must have for anyone who uses essential oils. I definitely recommend this item.
I'm keeping the package I ordered, because I'll need to fill my roller bottles with the carrier oil. I'm still looking for a way to dispense and measure essential oils into the mix. I was hoping for medical-size glass pipettes, and got their overweight cousin.
My first problem with them is that they are impossible to fill up past 2 ml which is about half way up the tubular shaft.
My second and more frustrating problem is that the bulb splits very quickly sometimes. While writing this review I tried using a brand new one and it split after a few attempts.
I understand they are inexpensive and some people only need them to be single use but I expected them to last longer.
Finally the company I got them from shipped in a clear plastic bag which I did not appreciate. I expected some privacy when ordering a product. It was not shipped by Amazon.
Great value for 100 pipettes. Did not arrive with the "dispenser box" like the listing says.
I didn't buy them for a specific purpose but I knew they were handy. Even today I needed them to measure out a dose of concentrated solution. I was wondering what I was going to use to measure that and I remembered the pipettes.
I do need these because there are many times that I wish I had something like this, and now I do.
