Final Summary - Useless, Don't Burn Your Money

I have read other reviews and I see the two sides.

This is what happened when I had the displeasure of buying this product to move saved games from 360 to 360 or PC.

1. My Memory cards(2) are 512, not 256, so that "you are an idiot" of a previous reviewer is irrelevant.
2. Tried 2 different mem cards in all 4 usb ports of 360 slim, restarted, all combinations, never even saw the card.
3. Installed software on PC, tried 2 cards again, 4 different usb ports, all combinations and rebooting never even seen from windows OR the software included.
4. Read every word of the manual, FAQ's and troubleshooting. No mention or anything to try. Nice!
5. Went to the makers website and there isn't even a page for support of this product.

I think this is a reasonable amount of time for me to have spent to justify the advice to skip this garbage product. My due diligence is complete. I rarely write reviews, but i like to save consumers from being mislead and scammed as I have been.

If I can save one person ....

Excellent solution for using Memory Units on a new 360 Slim!!!

I didn't get this so much for the pc connectivity, looking at it I thought there might be a possibility that I could use my memory unit with my new 360 Slim. It works, and couldn't be simpler. Plug Memory unit into adapter, plug adapter into USB port on 360, and 360 recognizes the memory unit no problem. The Geometry Wars game that came on the memory unit plays perfectly. I have not tried to software included for the PC, as I already have an Xport and the software also works with this cable just fine.

Partial function, negative slim connection

Did not allow me to access my 256mb mem card connected directly to R2D2 xbox Slim. Does however let me use third party software on pc to backup the memory card. Still unable to get at my saves :-(

do not buy it is useless, very difficult to use, it took me about half an hour for the computer to recognize it. after installing the software, it does not recognize the 512Mb memory, so I have practically lost my money here.

I ordered the item to take my profile off one xbox 360 and to save my profile onto a computer hard drive. The xbox is not mine,but a friend and I have had so much fun playing Boarderlands I purchased the game. I also purchased a memory card to serve as another way to transport data. I got the Transfer Kit so I could open the file on my computer and mod the backpack and try some other things. I have vista on my computer and the program will not respond to anything. I need to get a patch or an update I believe to get it to work properly. As it is I am serving my country in a war zone and I don't have a good way to get a patch or a way to get the extra Boarderland maps. So I am S.O.L. for the time. If I could ony get the program to respond I would try it.

I do have an xbox at home. Maybe I will just have to wait untill I get back.

I was very excited when I got this item at home but was annoyed after five minutes of anger! I installed the product on the disk, that was provided, on my computer. Once the program was downloaded I attached the USB reader and attached my memory card. I knew something was wrong as soon as the USB reader had problems finding the proper driver. After going over my steps I decided to do some research. After reading numorous forums and going to the companys website, I found out that this item only works with XP! There is no updates for this item so it is basically a waste of money. I did find some helpful videos with this problem but I personally have not gotten this product to work. So just be aware when buying this item. I can't tell you if it works or not because I cant even get it to run.

Bad Product and Worse Customer Service

Tried plugging this in to a Win 7 machine and cannot get it to recognize the USB device. I've tried calling the manufacturer 8 times (various ways through menu system) and can never reach a human being to get support.

And being brand new, you'd THINK they would put the device driver on the enclosed CD, but no dice.

Horrible that they sucker people into thinking this product will work and when you get it, all you can do is throw it in the trash.

works perfectly on Windows Vista, though does not seem to work with the included software on Windows 7. 256 MB memory cards do not work with it. This was a great buy, I bought one and so did a friend so we can transfer Madden saves back and forth (rather than paying to mail a memory card, which we tried and the memory card went missing, an empty envelope showed up at his house). BE SURE TO MAKE A NEW PROFILE IF YOU ARE TRANSFERING GAME SAVES BACK AND FORTH, AND SEND THE PROFILE ON THE MEMORY CARD. Great purchase.

I needed to transfer the full data from my memory unit so this seemed to be what I wanted. I managed to track down a computer with Windows XP and a disc drive but it led to nothing. Be aware of another major limitation: The product only works with 64MB memory units! The 256MB and 512MB memory units are not compatible.

A smaller concern to be aware of is that once you pry the disc from the packaging, there is no way to contain it.

This is completely useless unless your PC is exceptionally out of date. The description does not mention that it is incompatible, although at least after ignoring my e-mails I managed to get through to a call centre and they agreed to refund it.
