This case easily slips onto the tablet. One thing I was worried about was if I ever used the stand feature, you have to slip the bottom corner off of the table so that it hinges. I was worried that it would make wear marks on the tablet and couldn't find what they were made of anywhere. They are basically molded leather and won't scratch it. There is possible some kind of stiffener on the inside, but I don't think so. Don't worry about it wearing your tablet.
However, the main concerns I saw people have over it was that on anything but a flat surface, the stand wouldn't work. The groove wouldn't hold it and it would slide out and fall flat. I do like the fact that the grooves are on the inside of case cover. I've actually seen ones where you flip the cover to the back and lay it on it to lock it in. This never made sense to me. My brother has one. That seems to defeat the purpose though, because you sit it on a dirty surface, the dirt sticks to the cover, then you put that cover back on your screen and it rubs it in. I ultimately decided that I would probably never use the stand feature and in almost a year I haven't.
If you think about it, you'll probably decide it won't be an issue for you either. There is a small chance you'll set it on a tv tray or table to watch a video, but the batter isn't long enough to handle most movies and if you think about all the times you use a tablet, you'll probably just prop it up on you leg or a pile of stuff like I do. It's much easier and quicker. The stand would work find if you used it on a flat surface.
Lastly, is the catch that closes it. I was also concerned about this. Again, if it was tight or had interior support I feared rubbing the surface of the case. If it wasn't tight, I worried it would come loose on it's own. However, it was just right. It's again, just molded leather (faux probably) and has just enough bend to easily snap it over the lip of the tablet, but not enough pressure to wear at it. It holds it securely and doesn't appear to be loosing with repeated use.
I would recommend you buy this for protection from light wear, but don't expect it to save your device if you drop it. You're sacrificing protection for sleekness and lightness. Otherwise, it's easy to use and works well. I've seen several knockoff and this could be a knockoff of another, but they had the best price when I bought it.
