Nothing Can Withstand the Might of Devastator
Devastator is a raging hammer of chaos, battling voices in his head one minute, then crushing his targets the next. He is the perfect weapon, held back by a single imperfection: the Constructicons struggle to successfully merge their thoughts into one cohesive action, making it difficult to focus the wrath of their combined form. If they were able to harness the full force of their collective power, they would give the Decepticons a weapon capable of pounding entire civilizations to dust. As long as that threat exists, Devastator will loom as a shadow across the universe, an enemy the Autobots -- and all the worlds they protect -- must fear.
6 Voyager Class Figures
This all-in-one Devastator set contains 6 Transformers Voyager Scale figures, 4 weapon accessories, and instructions, and comes with a collectible character card featuring art based on the Transformers Legends mobile game. Each figure converts from robot to construction vehicle and back. It takes 8-17 steps to convert between modes, depending on the figure.
Are you ready for the incredible might of Devastator? You'll combine and attack with the most destructive Decepticon yet with the Construction figures in this Devastator set! The set includes 6 Voyager Class Construction figures: Construction Scrapper, Construction Hook, Construction Bonecrusher, Construction Long Haul, Construction Mixmaster and Construction Scavenger. Every one of these warriors converts from robot to vehicle mode and back, and in vehicle mode they can build or destroy whatever the battle calls for, whether it's Construction Long Haul hauling debris as a semi truck or Construction Scrapper shoveling it up as a forklift. But when the battle calls for total warfare, they'll combine to form the terrifying, 18-inch Devastator! His massive feet will crush puny enemies as he rakes them with blaster fire. Take the destruction to the next level with this monumental Devastator set! Transformers and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.

I'm in my thirties and I cannot transform these things without instruction manuals anymore. This took me close to an hour to assemble. The problem with combining him is sometimes I felt the parts weren't correctly installed because I did not hear a "click". But according to the manual I did it right. The manual is a cheap one giant poster size page. It is printed in greyscale, with some purple. I wish the pictures were larger. I felt like I was assembling IKEA furniture.
The figure is top heavy, but stands upright with no problems. I have him on my shelf displayed, and he never tipped over. All the figures have ball joints. They feel wobbly, and when you move Devastator around, some of the body parts of the individuals figures move out of place. However, I just love Transformers, and collect them so I am totally biased. He is so big and everything I wanted in a Hasbro made Devastator. I absolutely love him and he looks so cool. He does indeed look big on his own, until you put him next to Metroplex. I've posted a comparison shot for you all to see.
He also comes in a box with no display window. Only way to see the figure is to open him up. They are not tied down, and just sit in place inside the cardboard. My box came in OK condition, but not good enough for collecting, as it had some dents and crushes.
The only complaint I have is that the plastic they use to mold him seems a little lightweight (He is actually quite heavy) and the green is slightly off compared to the originals. I will post pictures next to the G1 originals.
If you are a Transformers fan this is a MUST buy. I also have Metroplex as my other titan class. Metroplex is indeed larger and truly catches the eye butr Devstator has alot more detail and looks a little fuller down the middle as opposite to Metroplex who is a bit thin.
You can see that the Constructicons come in vehicle mode (pictured). They are packed in cardboard, not foam so there's no mess. The box shipped in a bigger box so cushioning wasn't an issue. Underneath is a plastic bag that has all of the Devastator parts.
The figures themselves are not super difficult to transform. Those who had or still have the original Constructicons will notice that the transformations are a little more complicated but that is because the figures are all far more articulate (bendable arms and legs, but fingers are fixed in place in fists).
What I can't get over is the size and detail. They better than they did in the cartoons. They're huge. To give you an idea, I am posting a picture of the new Scrapper with the original. Scrapper isn't even the biggest. Longhaul definitely has that title and he forms the bulk of Devastator's chest and torso.
Devastator himself is huge. He towers over my entire collection. He is far more articulate than the original (although the arms only move from the elbows down, weird, they could've made them fully movable). I am absolutely overcome with nostalgia by this set. So absolutely awesome.
1. Devistator is LARGE- Im talking like original Metroplex large. (Don't know who Metroplex is? You should be ashamed!) Ok, he's about 18ish inches.
2. The hands are different colored. There are several variations of Devistator around (the original style) as well as the abomination made by Michael Bay, that we shall not speak of.
3. Mixmaster is oddly made- Its like a euro cement truck now, instead of the original which is more of the american cement truck.
4. there is less articulating parts- good for reduced production cost, also durability
5. Less guns! I recall the original had a lot more fire power.
Thats really about it. Its otherwise awesome. If your not buying it for your kids, buy it for some kid. Even if the kid is the kid in you!
