After completing his service in the United States Navy as a cryptologist, and then in the video game industry for companies including Midway and Sega, Chris made his way into comics and was with IDW Publishing for over 11 years as a Senior Graphic Artist. He had also written a number of titles for them during that time.

His first project, Transformers: The Reign of Starscream, helped pave the way for more Transformers-related books such as the two prequel miniseries Transformers: Alliance, Transformers: Defiance (both appearing on the New York Times best-seller list), as well as contributing three issues to the Transformers: Tales of the Fallen series.

Growing up a fan of dinosaurs and monsters, Chris had a dream come true writing the longest-running Godzilla series in comic history, Godzilla: Rulers of Earth. He also has written an issue for the Godzilla: Legends and Godzilla: Rage Across Time miniseries and helped out as a Creative Consultant for IDW’s Godzilla titles.

In addition to Godzilla and Transformers, Chris has also written issues for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter franchises as well.

Chris currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with his dog, Peanut.

    Gave me a great introduction to the next movie. Explaining the allspark, the fallen, the harvester, and how Megatron got duped by the Fallen into starting the war in the first place. VERY COOL.

    Loved ALLIANCE too but this one is better:-)

    This is more of a 2007 and the 2009 films backstory adaptation. The writers did a good job filling in some of the plot holes and scenes we never got to see. I like it alot, this story explains alot about the bayverse and the comic-novel is in good condition i remember getting a preview of the first issue on my old Ipod. Overall the story was well written and constructed. I fell in love with the transformers back in 2005ish so Im proud to have this comic as my first Amazon purchase. The detail is beautiful and very artistic for a 2009 comic book. By today's standards much details in comic books are under appreciated but here I get to enjoy the story with a fitting art design of the setting I hope the artists and group that created this magnificent story create more stories like this especially for bayverse. The comic felt more like a movie. Maybe this was the live action movie we should have got. -Love the story.

    Bought from World of Books, this was described as "very good" condition. It was an ex-library book, with pages in very poor condition and a damaged cover.

    The actual comic is very good, I'm just disappointed in WoB for their inaccurate description of the condition of the book.
