Seen these guys live twice, including last night at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle, where I bought the CD (sorry Amazon - they get paid more when you buy direct). Kristian's double-neck playing is truly a sight to behold, with his fingers flying across the guitar and bass sometimes at the same time, and looping everything together into a glorious choir of post-rock. The title track for this album may be the most technically complicated they've ever done, Kristian said on stage - they regularly mess it up live. But it was fantastic, and it sounds great on the new record. ETE is in my top 3 or so bands to play while driving, especially on the open road - the music is so lush, powerful and endorphin-y. You just want to pump your fist in the air and cheer.

I've been a fan of these guys since I was first exposed to them two years ago. In fact, after seeing them live I went out and got a double neck bass and guitar to utilize in my group Coincidence Machine (.net) Upside Out. I especially love the first track on this record, and the journey through so many textures and rhythms it takes you on. I look forward to witnessing that one live.

El Ten Eleven is a Los Angeles, CA post-rock duo known for combining guitar/bass doubleneck or fretless bass, with heavy looping, or vamping, and the utility of an effects pedal, over acoustic or electric drumming.

Saw these guys at the Isis in Asheville NC recently. Very energetic and complex music. Amazing depth of sound for just a duo. I've been listening to their earlier work on spotify ever since the show.
