First of all this is an awesome cd...forget what the other reviewer wrote...for those who don't know the Slits stasrted back in 77 when punk music started...they changed into more of a reggae sound after a few years...and this cd is the Slits 30 years on...and i think they sound great!!!..for the most part this cd is reggae with a bit of ska...fans of twotone will love this.....some stand outs on this cd for me were...1- Reject 2 - Peer Pressure 3 - Partner from Hell 4 - Babylon 5 - reggae Gypsy 6 - Cry Baby 7 - can't relate...were 2 or 3 trax that could'ver been left off that were'nt reggae/ska...but not bad songs either...if u are a fan of the slits..buy this!

cut is one of my favorite punk albums of all time, to this day the album still sounds ahead of its time. there sophmore effort in my opinion was a huge blow to fans of cut, they went from punk to world music. im all about evolving but to totally change there sound with no elements of there first album anywhere kinda sucked! here we are 30 years later (long anticipated to say the least)and not only was i let down, but utterly shocked at how crappy this album is! they kinda, sorta go back to there roots on a couple of songs, but it just dosent work. and women in there mid 50s singing songs about peer preasure is flat out silly. the one good thing i will say about the slits of today is that ari up has never looked sexier, she dosent look a day over 35! now on the other hand if you like good reggea music check out ari ups solo work its really good. dam i wish these ladies would make another cut album!!!

Not on a par with The Slits early recordings but a different line-up still managed to come up with a decent album.

5.0 out of 5 stars
