About the Author
Dr. Azita Nahai is a Kundalini yogi, activist, speaker, and trauma specialist. She is the founder of Trauma to Dharma®, an experiential method that integrates a holistic mind-body-spirit approach to healing trauma and transforming one’s pain into purpose. A domestic abuse survivor-turned-thriver, Dr. Nahai experienced something missing in her own recovery, and so, she created this program to fill the void. Her decades of research support the use of Kundalini yoga and meditation as a valuable therapeutic modality in post-traumatic growth. As a change agent she is fueled by her passion to empower others to become conscious and active participants in their own healing. She hopes her work will continue to help survivors access their true power to realize their dharma and transform their pain into a purposeful and joyful life. She lives and teaches in Los Angeles, California.

The way Dr. Nahai wrote the book made it easy for me to digest. She is honest, open and real. The book helped some old stuff flow out of me. I was able to process, understand and be cool with items that I had not been able to even comprehend.
Dealing with Trauma is not an easy task for anyone. I'm grateful I was able to find and connect with this book. It helped me more than I could have imagined. I will continue to use the template laid out in the book as I move forward on my path.
