As a person who has walked the journey into healing. This book is spot on.
I highly recommend it not only to Therapists, and those in the trauma care industry, but to those who are beginning this journey.
You will find complete raw knowing of how it feels to go from trauma to truth and finding the peace of love at the end of the uphill climb.
Thanks so much Rythea for writing and sharing your Art.
Gutsy Healing and Why It's Worth it,really gets to the heart of the matter. She's an artist, and like all great artists, she somehow says the most with the least amount of words. She's distilled what is essential if you're going heal and why it takes guts and courage to do it.I love this book and I use it as a refresh button,so I can stay in touch with the bigger picture and know ,even though the stories I hear are crushing, like Rythea's trauma story,it's not the only story that will define the person. It may be small but there's a LARGE amount of truth in it! I recommend it highly for anyone in the field or anyone period.
This book, tho it deals with very painful subject matter, is, well, again: vibrant! Reading it was like having really good seats at a really great play, one that is full of life, humor, honesty. The aliveness of this book is what hit me - Rythea Lee has gone beyond recovery - she's used her difficult life experiences to create something utterly beautiful. Not to mention funny, strong, kind and hopeful. I give this book a standing ovation!
Unique and accessible... I highly recommend this book.
