I bought this product since the reviews were good and company seemed to advertise it nicely for travel. Of the bat it’s a nice mug easy to hold and grab with it’s external grip. Easy to use and clean.
Issue: I don’t know if mine was defective or not but I can not travel with mine because water/liquid spills all over the cap. I can see this mug being good if all you do is use it at the desk. If you hit bumps on road then expect it to leak.

This was purchased for my daughter after our full size press was tragically broken in a freak accident. She enjoys coffee and/ or hot tea almost daily. With the travel press, she can start the steeping process when she first wakes up and press the coffee as she runs out the door for the school bus. She has told me that it keeps the coffee hot through first period and warm most of the day. She has been able to expand her hot tea habit to include loose leaf teas, which has been very beneficial to her sleep. Her favorite feature of the press is the ease of cleaning. Even when she adds cream, sugar, or even honey to her beverages, there is never any trouble getting the filters clean. Hopefully when it gets warmer outside, I will be able to update my review to include water infusions.

Good but tea leaves escape

I had a wonderful mug that I can no longer find. It had a basket that kept the tea leaves from escaping. I bought this to try. The tea stays warm so that is not the problem. But the tea leaves somehow escape the plunger screen. I go very slowly because people said that happens, but even going slowly I end up with tea leave in my mouth. It is also smaller than I usually get. Overall it's a good travel mug, the outside never gets hot. I gave it 4 stars because the tea escapes and it is smaller than the average travel mug.

This is very easy to use and simple to clean. When I just want one cup of coffee, which is most mornings, this is what I turn to. I use it to make tea as well. It does a fair job of keeping the coffee/tea warm (could be a bit better, but nothing worth complaining about). It came with good instructions for best results too, which was nice. Seems to be good construction. The filter at the end tries to unscrew once in a while, but it only takes a second to retighten. This is not microwaveable, so you need to heat the water in something else first.

I am really enjoying this purchase. I have a large French press but I like the coffee by the glass when it's just me. I have loose tea and it makes that process easier too. Same with loose Chai.
I like that I only have to clean one item in the end.
The one thing that I figured out was that you should add your cream and sweetener in the beginning with the loose coffee grounds, add the water, stir and put the top on and steep. I
I added the cream, and stevia after by pulling top and tilting to add them. It did release some coffee grounds. So just add them before.
It keeps the coffee very hot as well.

I prefer French press over any other method for coffee. This mug is wonderful for French press on the go. It keeps the coffee piping hot for several hours (I like VERY hot coffee). Very few coffee grinds make their way into the liquid after being pressed. The lid seals tightly as does the mouthpiece cover. I've not had it leak as I drive (it sits in my cup holder). It is very easy to clean. It is stylish and doesn't feel cheap. As with any French press, if you take care of it this one should last a long time. I searched for quite awhile before I chose this one and I'm very happy with my choice!
