Dr. Mark Wise has written an easy-to-read guide for travellers worried about their health abroad. (Quill and Quire Fall Preview)

With winter around the corner, many Canadians are gearing up for their annual migration to warmer temperatures. If you've chosen an exotic destination, you'll want to make sure that all your vaccinations, such as those for malaria, yellow fever, and hepatitis, among others, are up to date. According to the author, a Canadian family physician who specializes in travel medicine, new and improved vaccines against infection are now available. This book is a must have if you travel a lot or are considering traveling to countries that have higher risk levels for malaria and other diseases not normally found in high concentration in America. The book is a good guide when yours sick and far away from home.
