Slashed in a Crowd, but Thief Did Not Gain Access!!!!! Very Happy Customer!!!

Just placed an order for a replacement bag because on a recent trip the original bag was slashed at a crowded nighttime festival. Thankfully, because of the protective mesh layer, the would-be thief was not able to access the contents of the pocket. The knife only cut the outer layer - see photo. I am so happy I had this particular bag!!!!! I didn't even realize the bag had been slashed until the next morning. Before this happened, I was already a fan of the bag. The size, layout and appearance work for me. I also have a larger Travelon that I would use for a day-long outing, but most of the time this smaller version would be my choice.

I purchase this purse and the Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Mini Shoulder Bag. Although it says this bag is 1lb. I weighed both and found this bag to be a hair over 11oz. The mini shoulder bag was heavier. I walk a lot when I travel and weight is important. In terms of measurements, this was only an inch wider and of course a little shorter. The two outside zippers on this purse lock. The straps are little different between each bag, you can see the webbing more on the mini shoulder bag. Like the LED light inside both, nice touch. I ended up keeping this crossbody because it was lighter and I have a couple of purses with the mini shoulder bag shape.
