I bought this purse on behalf of my wife and this is what she said:
The bag is more than I expected. I had bought some other styles from Travelon that just didn’t fit my needs, so when I saw this style that was casual, didn’t scream “Anti-Theft Bag” and could convert from cross body to shoulder bag, I knew I had to try it. First off, it’s made out of a heavy cotton/denim material and it’s a nice medium grey color. The outside: it has many pockets and most have the security closures, which is nice. I recently, after a week of carrying it, just found two more hidden outside pockets that I didn’t even know were there. The arm handles to wear as a tote are long and you can easily wear it on your shoulder with a thick bulky jacket. The crossbody strap is great, it can be extended out so it is very long or you can wear it higher up. Great for women who have a large chest, as most crossbody bags hit us in all the wrong places. The interior is white with a blue stripe which is nice to find your objects. It even comes with a removable keychain flashlight for when you just can’t find that tube of lipstick at the bottom of your bag. There are a few interior open pockets for your cell phone or glasses, and one interior zip. I would recommend this bag to anyone traveling that is worried about the safety of their belongings or just for every day. It is reasonably priced as shipping was fast and secure. I would absolutely recommend this bag to any woman looking for a anti-theft bag that doesn’t look like all the rest of them.

After it was actually used. I purchased this for a 3 week overseas holiday. In less than 4 days, the handle strap seams began to unravel and the "slash-proof" wire poked out...about 3 inches of the strap seams had opened up. Other seams started to fray and I had to clip the hanging threads. What a huge disappointment. The bag now looks worn and tacky with the open seam and wire protruding through. And it looked that way throughout my holiday.
As I said in my first review, it's a great idea with many pockets and stow-away areas for travel. However, the bag should NOT begin to show
Wear and tear after 3 days!!! I may request a return on this item.
Original Review: Wow. This is a great bag of high quality craftsmanship. It's exactly what I was looking for to take on a long haul flight. My iPad, noise canceling speakers, phone, snacks, a sweater, and regular "purse stuff" will easily fit into this bag.
I love the zippered pockets that make organizing easy. Most of the outside zippers are equipped with a clip for security.
Lastly, the bag has a retro feel to it so it doesn't look too suitcase-like.
I love this bag, great purchase at a reasonable price.

Bought this for a two week trip to Italy. Was a great purse but started to come apart at the seams while using it during the trip. Looks like the seam is extremely close to the edge of the fabric — so it is not robust. Would expect a purse at this price point would last a lot longer.

Edit - it's been almost 2 years now and I'm still using this bag and overburdening it on a daily basis. I like to shove all my groceries on top of what I already have in there because I can never remember my reusable bags. Stitches haven't come apart or zippers fallen off which is what usually happens to me. I just bought another (smaller) bag of this brand to wear when "going out" (ie. not everyone with a large bag is attempting to smuggle in illicit substances, you silly security guards!) I also just noticed it has a zipper on the side. It's so sneaky I never even knew it was there these past 2 years.
Please don't stop making these bags!
