- The scriptural support for every point
- The straightforward, easy to understand, and theologically weighty explanation of things
- How Wes has a way of lovingly challenging my faith and understanding of God's Word
What I like a little less:
- How Wes has a way of lovingly challenging my faith and understanding of God's Word ;-)
Wes has an uncanny ability to poke those spiritual squishy bits that we'd rather people stayed away from and let us not think about. Much like C.S. Lewis, John Piper, RC Sproul, Mark Driscoll, and others have done for me in the past. There's a quote from I don't know who, "If you agree with everything your pastor says, there's probably a problem." But even those times where I disagree with Wes, he takes it back to scripture and makes me take a serious look at whether I'm disagreeing with him, or with God. And if I'm at odds with God, then I'm the one that needs to be corrected.
This is a great read for anyone. Christians will be strengthened in their knowledge of God's plan. Non-Christians will learn about God's unending grace and his offer to become on of his children.
