About the Author
Susana has always had stories in her head waiting to come out, especially when she learned to read and her imagination began to soar. Voracious reading led to a passion for writing, and her fascination with romance and people of the past landed her firmly in the field of historical romance. A teacher in her former life, Susana lives in Toledo, Ohio in the summer and central Florida in the winter. She is a member of the Central Florida Romance Writers and the Beau Monde chapters of RWA, the Maumee Valley Romance Inc., and the (in)famous Bluestocking Belles.

When Theresa's father becomes ill, Damian must come to the estate to learn its affairs as he will inherit it on the Earl's passing.
This is a short and sweet novella of how two individuals with very different views on life learn to respect, enjoy and even love each other.
It is a quick and delightful read.
Lady Theresa went to the engagement ball of her close friend, Reese. She thought she would be marrying him one day and his impromptu decision to marry another left her alone with no hope of marrying a nice gentleman. When her father's distant cousin, Damian Ashby stayed in her estate since her father was sick, she was really busy taking care of her father and the estate, not to mention the event coming up. When Damian showed that he was more than London fribble, she was rethinking her judgement.
Theresa was a young woman with a compassionate heart and she loved people around her. She respected everyone in the village. I really love her character. Damian was a rakehell at first, but when he saw Theresa's caring nature, he began to realize that she was a better woman and he became really devoted to her. It was really sweet that he adored her eyes more than anything else.
A must read!!!
I received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
This is the first time reading this author. It was a refreshing change from the other historical romances that I have been reading. A short read, Treasuring Theresa, is set in London during the 1800s. It was a short and sweet story. There are no sex scenes and truly there is no need.
It is about a woman, Theresa, who is dealing with the illness of her father, an entailment of the estate, and of the marriage of the man she wanted to marry who picked someone else. To add to her troubles, her father's distant cousin and heir to the estate, Damien, is required (against both of their wishes-for he is a snob and she an ill mannered country girl) to spend time learning about the estate. It is from that point where they realize that appearances are not what they seem.
I had a hard time liking Damien, but he does redeem himself, for a true happily ever after has to take place
Theresa comes off as a very strong character, she puts her life on hold to take care of the family house and take care of her father. Seeing as how this is a historical book, a woman putting off finding a husband? Kinda a big thing. Even with everything that happening in her life, she wants to help the other people who are in her care.
Damian is the typical playboy in the time, he doesn't want the responsibility of anything serious. His plans of passing on his inheritance seem better and better with each day that passes. But all of that changes when he gets to know Theresa.
This book is a sweet romance that will bring a smile to your face. Its just the right length that you can read it when you are on break from a crappy day at work! Treasuring Theresa has a recommendation from me!
