"This comprehensive, well-edited volume is an important source of information for child and adolescent psychiatrists. Especially valuable are the summaries of pertinent issues at the start of each chapter, which are consistently thorough and illuminating. The book provides useful and current knowledge on a range of child therapies and promises to enhance both my clinical and supervisory work." --Gabrielle A. Carlson, MD, Director, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, State University of New York at Stony Brook
"This book reflects a half-century of effort devoted to building treatments that have a solid empirical base. With chapters that exemplify what can be accomplished by application of scientific methods to complex clinical problems, the volume is a satisfying 'read' and a great update of the previous edition." --Gerald R. Patterson, PhD, Research Scientist, Oregon Social Learning Center
