Let me divide this review into two pieces. The devotionals are good to wonderful! I'm truly glad I purchased this little book. However four of them are not in English and only one is translated. As I read only English I'm left a bit perplexed by that. I'm thankful that Jean Pagano was inspired to bring these words of honoring together and share them with us. We have such a great need for things like these devotionals. That a dollar from each book sale goes to reforestation is a nice way to honor the Earth Mother too! I hope in the future that Mr. Pagano and others will continue to gather and share words such as these..... I just hope that they're published in a more, well, graceful and respectful fashion. I was really "put off" by the layout of the book as a whole and that leads me to the second part of my review..... my complaints. And these have nothing to do with the devotionals! At the beginning of the book Dark Moon Press expresses where to view their complete catalog or send SASE... you know, the normal thing. They all do it. And I would have not been surprised by two pages in the back devoted to advertising some of their titles. BUT that's not the case. This is a small book anyway and the devotionals end at page 72. From page 73 to 98 it is nothing but a catalog of books from Dark Moon Press. That's 25 pages. For crying out loud, what were these people thinking when they did that? 44 titles, 24 of which are under the headings of Occult, Paranormal (want to know the most haunted house?) and Demonology (need the sigils for summoning and working with demons?). Its crass, obnoxious and totally uncalled for. I wanted to find and be inspired by writings from the modern Druidic traditions.... NOT have a bunch of cheap advertising thrown in my face. I find it very sad that the devotionals couldn't be respected on their own. Perhaps in the future an expanded gathering of works like these can be published with love and honor. I'll be right there to purchase it!

I love reading through this book when I have a moment. All of the devotions are beautiful and some are very inspiring as well. A great addition to any pagan's collection.

Overall this was a great book. The main problem I have with it is the 40 pages of advertising. It was definitely excessive and inappropriate.
