Why in the world would you change the ingredients of a perfect toothpaste? Shaking my head and looking for a new toothpaste.

This was my most favorite toothpaste ever until my last purchase here on Amazon. It was then I found out they changed an ingredient that cause the inside of my mouth to peel and sluff off. I was told buy Desert Essence themself that this change was made because this was a more gentle product ingredient. Well obviously my mouth disagrees and nothing I can say or do seems to matter, 😞 so if anyone else has the same problem please report it so they will go back to the original formula that I used for 6 years and loved dearly.

Realized this contains SLS . So I do not recommend anymore. It’s not natural if a chemical is included. Not sure why the ingredients on website leaves this out, but it’s on the back of the toothpaste tube. Switching to “Jason sea fresh”. Which is actually natural.

I love this toothpaste. I have bad teeth. Thin enamel and over fluoridation as a child made the front brittle and full of white spots. I get cavities a lot and my teeth chip easily. My teeth were a bit translucent before and they are almost completely opaque now from use of this toothpaste. They are maybe a bit yellower but hey its not a whitening toothpaste and the opaqueness of them may just make it appear that way. Ive never had a toothpaste make my teeth actually visually healthier. I also get tartar really bad on the inside of my bottom front teeth. This stuff gets rid of it like nothing ive ever seen!! It came off in hard little chunks and it felt really rough on the inside of my mouth for a while. But I kept using the paste and it all came off and my teeth are smoother and more plaque free than they ever have been!! i also love the texture of the toothpaste. Its almost creamy and when i start to brush it foams up quite a bit. Im on my second tube and i intend to keep buying.

I won’t tell you how many years it took for me to figure out that toothpaste was toxic to me and not nice to my teeth. I went through all the steps –don’t need the fluoride, want natural (no Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, no ingredients added for flavoring that were also toxic). I found the “natural” label didn’t do it for me anymore when manufacturer added sorbitol or xylitol for flavoring. Teeth and gums age and I don’t need anything contributing to that.
I dropped out mouthwash first and would just brush tongue and roof of my mouth to remove odor causing bacteria. But I was still using toothpaste even though it was fluoride-free and "natural".
When I found Desert Essence Natural Tea Tree Oil and Neem Toothpaste, I finally found the key to really taking care of my teeth and gums. The taste took some adjustment for me. I now brush tongue and roof of my mouth with just water before I put the toothpaste on my brush. Soft circular motion and within a few days I already noticed healing in the gums. After continuing for a few weeks, I noticed occasional particles dropping off the teeth and thought it was pieces of my teeth! But it was actual tartar and plaque deposits being released by the well oiled and now healthier teeth. I have been using it for two years now and much of the damage caused by previous toothcare has actually reversed. Good toothcare treats the teeth and treats the gums.
One drawback is there is no travel size available – anyway on Amazon. I recently tried another toothpaste with like ingredients for travel but found it did not stand up to the “nice to my teeth” test. So I simply got one of those really little travel pots (about lip gloss size) that holds about half an ounce and simply filled it for travel. Thank you Desert Essence! Win – Win – Win & Travel!

I have Sjogens Syndrome and suffer from a very dry mouth. Most toothpastes make my mouth dryer or leave a burning sensation in my mouth. This toothpaste was recommended by some one else with Sjogrens so I thought I would give it a try. I am very happy that I did. My mouth feels very clean after I brush without the horrible dryness (I don't have to drink 3 large glasses of water after brushing my teeth any more!) Finally I have a toothpaste that I am happy with!

So I have to be honest I swore that I would never change from Theraneem toothpaste, because I find it effective and I liked it a lot. However, I decided to switch up and try this toothpaste because I figured it's got to be good if it's got neem and tea tree oil. I'm not a big fan of Wintergreen, I prefer spearmint or mint but this wasn't bad in terms of flavor, a bit strong but not to the point where it's overwhelming. I'm kind of a worst case scenario, I have a chipped tooth in the back that I haven't been able to get fixed yet and I'm trying to keep it clean and use toothpaste that will keep it clean as well as preventing it from becoming infected or painful. I also suffer with tooth sensitivity which after switching to neem toothpaste I no longer have. Had a couple spots where my gums are receding and it even helped that. The toothpaste itself, is very creamy and foams up very nicely after brushing my teeth with this toothpaste my mouth felt incredibly clean. I can't really speak on whether my teeth appear whiter, but they definitely seem to have a nice gleam to them after brushing. I highly recommend this if you have any teeth/gum/sensitivity issues.

Wanted to give this toothpaste a try, since it is derived from natural ingredients. But, upon inspecting the label, it contains carrageenan- Research links carrageenan to gastrointestinal inflammation, including higher rates of colon cancer, in laboratory animals. Please do some personal research on this additive before committing to this product (it is non-returnable through amazon). This is not an additive to mess around with, and is hidden in lots of foods- such as almond milk. No one in my home will be using this product. I'm glad I discovered it within the first few uses.. yuck!

I like this project. You only need a small amount and it foams up really well. The toothpaste is huge so this will last you months. I do like this product however I bought because of the tea tree ingredient and unfortunately its not as strong as taste as I would like. It doesn't have that fresh breath aftertaste when you've finished brushing. That's my personal opinion. Apart from that the product is excellent.

Toothpaste as fine and it cleaned my teeth but the reason I bought it was for the Neem as I was having problems with my gums. I used the whole tube and in mho I could not see that it had done anything extra in healing my gum problem. So for me I won't be buying again as it cost 3-4 times more than my usual toothpaste.

Apparently this is great toothpaste and whilst mouth felt cleaner and fresher than previouse floride free toothpaste it is disconcerting to read on wikipedia that tee tree oil is toxic and not to be taken by mouth. Obviously you don’t eat toothpaste but there must be safer ingredients? It is also not a regulate ingredient. Not sure I want to continue using it based on these facts.
