I first heard and saw Marisa Monte on World Link TV a couple of years ago doing Agua de Marcos with David Byrne. I thought, who is this girl in sunglasses? Recently I saw Tribalistas videos of Carnavalia and Passe em Casa. Watching these people work together is pure joy. Look at the guys sunglasses! Special Guest Margareth Menezes, on Passe em Casa, has a lovely habit of singing with her arms outstretched. Watch Arnaldo Atunes playfully mock her singing style with his arms outstretched. Oops! I'm supposed be reviewing the CD. Well, their enjoyment of singing together comes through on the CD. Words in Portuguese and English, plus guitar chords! I already plan to sing Mary Cristo in church at Christmas.
I noticed how many reviewers said "I can't listen to anything else". This music makes me feel good. I'm considering buying several Tribalista CD's to give to musical friends who will appreciate this joyful sound. For the rest of you, Buy It.

It's a little confusing, the reviews here seem to be mixed up between the original Tribalistas album (from 2004 or so?) and the new one (conveniently also named Tribalistas) released late 2017.
The original is one of the greatest albums in the history of recorded music and should be sent along with all future NASA space probes.
The new one is merely a masterpiece ;-)

Together, Marisa Monte, Carlinhos Brown and Arnaldo Antunes, three of the best artists of the MPB. One Album, 13 songs. When I finished listening all the songs, I was deceptionated. 13 songs, and, apart from "Ja Sei Namorar" and "Velha Infancia", no other really atracted me. Ok, "Passe em Casa", "E Voce" and "Carnavalia" were other good music, but the other songs appeared to me that they made quickly only to fill the rest of the CD.
Tribalistas is a good CD, but I am still thinking that hear the old songs of Marisa Monte is better. However, take it if you really like Brazilian music or like any of the three musicians, you won't be deceptionated, even because "Ja Sei Namorar" and "Velha Infancia" are excellent songs and does not let the CD to be a complete waste of time.
