Wheatgrass contains some of the highest concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients when compared to other fruits and vegetables. It is also one of nature’s richest sources of chlorophyll and hundreds of other live enzymes. Until recently, obtaining the juice from this miracle plant required purchasing expensive juicers or making a trip to your local juice bar to buy a shot. Now, with the new Z-Star Manual Juicer, Tribest makes it affordable to be able to juice wheatgrass at home, or on the go. Its unique single-auger design uses an extremely gentle and efficient process to extract more high-quality juice from each blade of wheatgrass, without electric power. Not only can it juice wheatgrass, the Z-Star Manual Juicer can also extract great-tasting and nutritious juice from a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens. The Z-Star Manual Juicer is lightweight, portable, and versatile, so you can enjoy fresh juice wherever you go!

It was scary because all of my juicer experiences have been negative. My mother had a juicer, though i never used it, she had always complained about the mess it made, and how difficult it was to clean up. I remember she even slammed it in the trash the day the motor died.
I didn't want to spend too much on a juicer just in case i ended up giving up, or the motor died.. I bought my first juicer from Goodwill. To see what this juicing business was all about and the motor died after one use. The pulp that it left was very wet. I was afraid to actually shell out the cash to purchase a juicer after everything that had happened.
I researched for months before i finally found the Z- Star. I'm so glad that i did!
The number ONE thing that i LOVE about this juicer is that it is manual. Hurray! I don't have to worry about motor issues and it is perfect for any off-grid situation!
Assembly is a breeze. Oh, Keep in mind that you NEED to have some kind of surface to be able to clip the juicer to. It attaches with a C type clamp (I don't know anything about hardware, really.)
My dining table doesn't have a lip for me to clip on. I got lucky that my kitchen counters puckered out just enough to be able secure the juicer to it.
It's really simple to use.
I cut the vegetables to long strips and send them down the shoot straight up. It just makes it easier to grind up and push down with the plunger.
It comes with a little tray that it tells you to use for catching the juice, but this doesn't work well for me because the pulp would somehow fall into the tray anyway. I didn't want to have to strain my juice too! Instead, i use a mug to catch the juice and place the tray so that the angled end is facing the pulp spout. This way, the juice goes into the cup and the pulp falls into the tray. Using this method, i have not had any pulp fall into my juice.
This juicer is so great! It produces a lot of juice with no noticeable pulp and minimal forth. The leftover pulp is really dry. I've put it through the juicer again to see if i would get any more juice, but it was only drops. Not really worth the effort.
I usually compost my leftover pulp, but lately I've needed extra fiber. As such, I've frozen them and added them to fruit smoothies. They don't add much taste, but they add much needed fiber to my diet. I've also used carrot pulp to bake some carrot muffins!
I would recommend to juice soft things first and then follow up with hard things to push the juice through.
If you cut up and prepare your vegetables the night before, you could easily work this into your morning routine. I have!
Clean up is also a breeze. I would suggest to clean it IMMEDIATELY after using it. Personally, i keep a deep bowl of warm water and vinegar on stand by. Once i take it apart, i rinse it and let it soak for a few minutes to disinfect. Cleaning the screen is probably the most time consuming thing... but if you make sure to clean it right after, you wont have a problem. Overall clean up takes me less than 5 minutes.
I love this juicer and i truly recommend this to anyone.
I have not received any compensation for this review! I'm just so happy that i found it!
I've used this juicer three times total before it fell apart pictures are included.
Looking at the filter screen upon receiving the item I was skeptical that it would juice at all.
I'm quite surprised that it worked the first two times before the screen fell apart on the 3rd use.
Now looking at the screens they charge $40 for a replacement screen but this entire unit only cost me $98 shipped off Amazon. So in my opinion this particular item for juicing wheatgrass is an extortion product deliberately made to fail and fall apart forcing you to continuously buy a $40 screen that doesn't last at all I just can't comprehend recommending this item to anybody for juicing wheatgrass.
How anybody else juices items that are denser IE peanuts carrots and other products and produce is beyond me this thing can't even handle wheatgrass.
it didn't even complete three trays a wheatgrass since purchased, that's how poor of a quality screen is inside.
so unless you're willing to accept extortion at $40 for every single screen just so it can break and fall apart just like the photo do yourself a huge favor and look to another product.
I'm so disappointed that I couldn't even use this three times before falling apart on small trays of wheatgrass. I've just been ripped off $100 shaking my head.
