    Compelling value and competes admirably against the Bose SoundLink Flex
    I did a test of a stereo pair of these against a stereo pair of Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd gen), and they are genuinely very very good.I am not an audio expert by any means, but I am a music lover. My goal was a stereo pair of bluethooths with an emphasis on quality over loudness. I did not want a single stereo "boombox" or similar because I want to spread them far apart in the room to create a "soundscape."In researching, I narrowed my options to this product, Bose SoundLink Flex and Soundcore Motion+. (The Soundcore has not yet arrived. I may or may not edit this review to include info about that comparison too.) Note that cost is a major factor, and when I bought these, they were exactly half the price of the USED Bose speakers you see pictured here.Sound quality:Bose have it, which is not surprising. What is surprising is that occasionally, the Tribits sounded better than the Bose. Complex mids and highs sound muddier on these than the Bose, but when it was simple or bassy, these were often as good as and sometimes better. Believe me though, comparisons aside these sound objectively good, especially for the price.Battery:I am not about to test claims, but in my limited testing, it appears battery claims are accurate on both products, which means the Tribit speakers last more than twice as long on a single charge. That said, 12 hours on the Bose is more than enough for me. If these had less capacity, they may weigh less, which would not be a bad thing.Usability:The app does not make you share all your personal details before you can use it fully, which is always nice, and it was intuitive and easy to use.I want to say that Tribit have done a good job on the stereo mode functionality. Pairing them together is easy, and they remember that they were paired when you turn them on again, which is a nice touch. Another nice touch is that when you turn one off in stereo mode, they both go off. The Bose don't do this, which feels like an oversight. I appreciate thoughtful touches, and I found myself pleased a number of times with the Tribits.Looks:They don't turn heads. The Bose look nice and come in attractive colours. These are drab and grey and boring, but hey, they're not art, they're just some speakers.Conclusion:The cost makes these utterly compelling. If you cannot justify $200-300+ to spend on a pair of Bose, but these are in your budget, go for it! You will not be disappointed. They are undeniably good value. Well-made, functional, solid, well-packaged even.

      I had this StormBox Flow for quite some time, and I have to say, I’m really impressed. The sound quality is phenomenal; it's so good that my coworker asked me to order one for him as well. The in-app EQ feature is a game-changer, allowing for precise tuning to get the perfect sound. The single driver with passive radiators does a fantastic job at enhancing the bass response.

      The build quality is solid. It feels like it can handle any job site—short of falling into a wood chipper, of course. The size is perfect for portability; it even fits nicely in my back pocket. The strap is a handy feature for hanging it off hooks, nails, heavy equipment, etc.

      Pairing it with other speakers is super easy thanks to a button that looks like an infinity symbol. I paired my speaker with my coworker's, and they sound great together with a super reliable connection, never dropped once.

      The design is sleek and aesthetically pleasing. Battery life is impressive, lasting through my typical 10-hour workday with about 40% to spare, even when playing at 65% volume. Plus, the IP67 waterproof rating means I don’t have to worry about using it outdoors or near water.

      The TWS (True Wireless Stereo) feature allows you to pair it with another Tribit StormBox Flow, creating an even more immersive listening experience. Whether you’re at a worksite, a beach, or just relaxing at home, this speaker delivers high-quality sound and dependable performance.

      Overall, I think it’s worth every penny. I’m extremely happy with this purchase and have no regrets. Honestly, I can’t think of any cons. Highly recommend.

      This is my favorite EQ, I hope you like it. I spent a good 20 minutes tweaking it.

      There's a ton of competition in portable speakers, so price matters a lot. At the time of writing this, this speaker runs $80 normally and ~$60 on sale. At $60, it's pretty good, very competitive with a nice mix of features. $80 opens it up to a lot more competition and while I think it is still a decent buy there, it no longer strongly stands out.

      I like the 3-setting EQ through the app that gets stored in the speaker's memory, this is the right way to do it, set it once and you no longer need the app. There's a button on the speaker to toggle through all 3 settings. Perfect. Battery life is good. Durability/construction is good.

      Sound quality is a little soft on the high end to me, but it having an EQ makes this no problem. Bass and volume output is also good, though it aggressively compresses bass a mid volumes, which is typical. If loud is all you care about there are better choices at $80, but this can sound great up to mid volumes, and the design is nice because you can get direct sound from it aimed, or pretty well diffused sound from it laying flat.

      It's also worth noting that it's heavy, but that's probably the price to pay for a nice size battery.

      I think my only real complaint is there is not aux input, I know that's not a big deal for many but I do still tend to end up using those every now and then. That and maybe I had too high expectations from it given how much I love my Xsound speakers that were under $30. Those are really standout products to me, they are GREAT for the size and cost.

      This one is good at $60, and just ok at $80. At $80 you really need to consider what balance of features you want and make sure it's a good fit.

      I really want to give this a 4.5 instead of a 5. It sounds outstanding but there is slight staticky noise close to max volume. I just want to use it as a travel speaker so it’s perfect for me but you might want to go for the Soundcore Motion x300 if you want something a bit louder with a better sound profile and almost no distortion at max volume. You might only pay $10 more for the Motion x300 so worth it in my opinion.

      Edit 29.01.24:

      Edit: Mit Firmware V1.2.8 hat Tribit einen weiter unten angeführten Kritikpunkt neutralisiert; man kann die EQ-Taste nun mit 3 beliebigen Settings belegen. Bedeutet, man kann nun zwischen selbst definierten Presets und Custom-Settings wechseln, ohne jedes Mal die App öffnen zu müssen, wenn man beispielsweise von "XBass" auf ein eigenes EQ-Setting zurück wechseln will. Geniale Produktpflege seitens Tribit!!

      Edit: Unter Firmware V1.2.5 funktionieren meine aktuellen EQ-Settings (Foto) bis ca.~65% Lautstärke gut; immer noch basslastig aber eher mit Fokus auf Stimmwiedergabe. Werte in Klammern für wärmeren, sanfteren Klang. (80Hz funktioniert im Bereich von +2 bis +5 zuverlässig, ab +6 neigen schwerere Bässe zum Verzerren)

      Kurz:
      ++ Robustheit (IP67, keine freiliegenden Passivradiatoren
      ++ Laufzeit bzw. Akkuleistung
      ++ App-Support (FW, EQ usw.)
      ++ Klang
      ++ Alltaugstauglichkeit (Formfaktor, Positionierungsmölichkeiten
      ++ Verarbeitungsqualität
      ++ Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

      +/- zierliche Gummifüsse, wirken anfällig bzw. etwas instabil
      +/- Lautstärke für Systemtöne könnten gerne leiser/lauter regelbar sein, zumindest jedoch sind sie bedarfsweise deaktivierbar, sehr gut

      - eigene EQ-Einstellung muss nach Umschalten des EQ-Modus via App wieder neu aktiviert werden
      - Lautstärkeabstufung zu grob
      -- deutliche Latenz z.B. bei YouTube-Inhalten

      Test:
      Gerät mit FW 1.2 erhalten, mittels App sofort auf FW 1.2.3 (...) aktualisiert, was offenbar das Übersteuern im Tiefton um die ~60 Hz behebt.

      Kopplung wie gewohnt mittels BT 5.3 einfach und schnell, Verbindung ist absolut stabil.
      Lippensynchronität ist für den "Flow" ein Fremdwort, was mich nicht stört, da ich kaum auf BTS streame, sondern meistens mit IEM (FiiO UTWS 5 v.2, grandioser BT-Amplifier/Adapter). Wer jedoch YouTube etc. auf BTS streamt, dem vergeht hier sicher der Spaß, selten eine so starke Verzögerung gehabt in den letzten Jahren).

      Mit gefällt, dass man das Gerät stellen, legen, und hängen kann; großartiges Lanyard mit Metallschieber liefert Tribit hier übrigens mit Einige andere sehr gute BTS wie der EarFun Uboom oder auch der Soundcore Motion+ haben keine Öse oder Lasche zum Aufhängen verbaut.

      Zum Klang:
      Finde ich persönlich richtig stark, das Stereo-Argument zieht hier ebensowenig wie beim JBL Charge 5.
      Wenn...

      ... man sich den EQ zu Gemüte führt. Generell ist ein grafischer EQ mit festgelegten Frequenzbändern suboptimal. Wenn dann noch der Tiefton erst bei 80 Hz regelbar ist, wird es schwierig. Ich habe aber ein für mich sehr gut funktionierendes Setting gefunden, welches bei Lautstärken um die 30-60% ausgewogen und doch "spaßig"; werde da aber möglicherweise noch etwas nachjustieren:

      80 hz +7 db
      150 hz +4 db
      300 hz +3 db
      600 hz +2 db
      1200 hz +2 db
      2500 hz +3 db
      5000 hz +6 db
      9000 hz +8 db
      13000 hz +8 db

      Die Werte fallen relativ stark aus, da die Voreinstellung für den eigenen EQ flach bzw. eher mittenlastig ist. Abgesehen davon sind die Werte nicht ganz "echt"; Anhebungen um 8 dB wären schon sehr auffällig. Mit obigen Werten spielt das Gerät jedenfalls lauter und voller, wirkt größer als mit den Standardeinstellungen. Tiefton ausbalanciert aber etwas betont, Mitten präsent und "voll da" aber m.E. nicht aufdringlich, Hochtonbereich für mich klar und fein genug aufgelöst - in Summe ein genreübergreifend gut funktionierendes Setup. Playlisten alle mal queerbeet durchgespielt: Daft Punks "Around the World" und "Fragments of Time" klingen kräftig, dynamisch, sauber. Die Gitarre auf Nils Lofgrens "Keith Don't Go" klingt authentisch, echt, detailliert, gefällt mir sehr gut. "It's Yourz" und "Triumph" vom Wu Tang Clan laufen auch unverzerrt, für die Gerätegröße erstaunlich kräftig. Enrico Sangiuliano, Innelea, Don Carlos, Alpha Blondie, The Kenneth Bager Experience, dZihan & Kamien, Jessie Ware, DJ Koze, Bonobo - das klingt eigentlich alles so, wie es klingen soll. Als Tiefton"maß" nehm ich gern sowas wie Wiz Khalifa "On My Level" und AtYyA "Odyssey" / "CHAMELEON" / "Above the Clouds" usw. her. Der Tribit Stormbox Flow spielt mit obigem EQ-Setup so ziemlich den gesamten Tieftonbereich gleichmäßig (gleich laut), sauber, kontrolliert. Einzig der tiefste Ton in "Above the Clouds" ist gerade noch ansatzweise da, aber da klinken sich andere (so auch der Soundcore Motion +) schon deutlich früher aus. Der Flow spielt souverän bis ~55-60 Hz runter, unter 50 Hz (super Wert für diese Gerätegröße) wirds dann düster...

      Die Standardsettings klingen für mich alle irgendwie nicht "korrekt". "Musik" klingt halbwegs neutral aber eher dünn. Bei "XBass" fehlen mir Mitten und Stimmen, klingt eingesperrt und bedeckt. "Klassisch" und "Rock" haben die typisch eigenartigen Anhebungen in bestimmten Mitten- bzw. Höhenbereich, "Jazz" klingt da von allen Presets noch am Besten für mich.

      Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig und tadellos. Die Haptik des Kunstofffehäuses (Abdeckung resp. Frontgitter scheint aus Metall zu sein) gefällt mir auch sehr gut, ebenso die Druckpunkte der erhabenen und gut erfühlbaren Tasten. Lediglich die Tasten für EQ und Kopplung kann ich nicht unterscheiden, da greift man (falls man das überhaupt macht) im Dunkeln sicherlich manchmal daneben.

      Negativaspekte:
      Wenn ich an diesem wirklich gut durchdachten und vollausgestattetem Gerät kritisieren müsste:

      Die unteren Lautstärkestufen sind zu grob, insbesondere die Abstufung 3-4-5-6-7. Das gleiche Problem habe ich mit der Tribit Soundbar (da allerdings noch deutlich schlimmer). Wenn sich das via FW-Update verbessern ließe, würd ich darüber freuen.

      Wenn man wie ich mit eigenem "Custom-EQ"-Setting hört, ist diese Einstellung nur mittels App einstellbar. Zwar merkt sich das Gerät die Einstellung, so dass man bei Geräte(neu)start immer mit dieser Einstellung startet bzw. hört. Wenn man jedoch die "EQ"-Taste drückt, um beispielsweise in den Hörbuchmodus zu wechseln um Bass rauszunehmen, muss man die App starten, um das Custom-Setting wieder aktivieren zu können. Für künftige Updates (oder neue Modelle) wäre ein zusätzliches Preset "Custom" wünschenswert, welches man mittels Durchschalten der Presets am Gerät einstellen kann.
      Ich hoffe, dass die zierlichen Gummifüße auf der Geräterückseite robuster sind, als sie wirken; die auf der Geräteunterseite sind deutlich flacher und starrer.

      Fazit: Um die 65-75 Euro absolut empfehlenswert, beim Stormbox Flow passt alles zusammen; die Firmware-Update-Option lässt Spielraum für eventuelle Verbesserungen und Anpassungen.

      PS: Beim FW-Update kam die Info, dass der Vorgang 5-10 Minuten dauert. Nach einer halben Stunde war ich bei ca.17 %. Was den Vorgang deutlich beschleunigt hat, war das wechselweise De-bzw. Aktivieren des Wlans. Somit forciert man den Wechsel zwischen Wlan und mobilen Daten. Ich habe bei beiden Netzen um die ~ 150 mbit; warum der Update-Vorgang ohne dieses (häufige) Wechseln mit Sicherheit 1,5 Stunden oder länger benötigt hätte, kann ich nicht sagen. Das nur als Tipp, falls das FW-Update schneckt oder ruckelt... :)

      EDIT: Das in einer anderen Rezension erwähnte Grundrauschen und sog. Bluetooth-Zwitschern kann ich so nicht bestätigen; im Gegenteil. Es herrscht halt keine totale Stille, wie z.B. bei den Vifa-Geräten (Reykjavik und City empfehlenswert für natürliche Stimmwiedergabe, aber zum Regulärpreis völlig überteuert m.E.) . Auf niedrigsten Stufen aus maximal ~30cm Entfernung zum Ohr ist beim Tribit Flow bei Umgebungsstille ein minimales (!) Rauschen wahrnehmbar, aber da ist der Tribit unter den leisesten, die ich so kenne (einige...). Da muss man aber auch schon richtig die Lauscher aufstellen. Dagegen rauschen ein Audio Pro P5 oder der absolut erstklassige Denon Envaya 250 wie der Ozean bei Flut. Allerdings ist sehr wohl leises BT-Zwitschern und Grundrauschen vernehmbar, wenn man beispielsweise YouTube pausiert. Das Zwitschern vergeht nach ein paar Sekunden, dieses Verhalten legen eig. fast alle BTS an den Tag, so u.a. auch meine (geliebten) Minirig 3.
      "Bluetooth Intermodulation".
      Kenne da wie gesagt nur die Vifa-Geräte, die komplett entkoppelt sind.

      Im TWS-Verbund spielen zwei Tribit Flow kräftig, absolut verbindungsstabil, mit begrenztem aber gutem Stereo-Effekt bei ~1 - 1,5m Abstand zueinander. An die Stereowirkung von zwei 1More S1001BT kommen sie jedoch nicht heran, aber die 1More sind dsbzgl. auch eine krasse positive Ausnahme, wo weder JBL noch EarFun usw. mitkommen.

      Inizio dalla fine: qualità/prezzo eccellente.
      Livello costruttivo molto alto; l'apparecchio pesa, ma tenendolo fra le mani si percepisce il motivo: grande solidità, materiali e finiture appaganti.
      Passando al suono, quanto dichiarato circa la risposta sui bassi (fino a 50 Hz) mi sembrava eccessivamente ottimistica.
      Mi sbagliavo, perché i 50 Hz li riproduce (ad un volume ben udibile) senza distorsioni, vibrazioni e risonanze indesiderate. Per sfruttare appieno l'estensione sui gravi occorre "lavorare" sul settaggio e sotto questo profilo le istruzioni, molto succinte e basate essenzialmente su immagini, non sono di grande aiuto.
      Una volta "settata" , il risultato si sente.
      Il resto delle frequenze riprodotte è ottimo, la potenza è notevole. Riesce a sonolizzare bene anche spazi domestici ami (20-30 mq).
      Acquistando un secondo Stormbox (cosa che non ho ancora fatto) l'insieme consente la riproduzione stereofonica, e visti i costi in gioco è un'opzione tutt'altro che trascurabile.
      Attendo un black friday 😊per acquistarne una seconda.
