From the Back Cover

No longer can we be Barack Obama’s sheeple and let the American Dream be trampled, beaten, and burned to the ground!

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author and revered radio host, the Savage manifesto you hold in your hands is the best defense against the “trickle up poverty” theory of Obamanomics, which is dragging America into a Marxist-Socialist death spiral and threatens to destroy the free nation we love. Now updated with a new introduction, Michael Savage’s Trickle Up Poverty presents the shocking truth about President Obama’s anti-American past and Lenin complex so you can take on his Chicago-style, strong-arm tactics and help save America from his administration’s assault on the middle class. If you arm yourself with only one book to learn what Obama the Destroyer has done and plans to do to America, this is it.

Reveals the secret puppet masters behind the wall street casinos—none of whom has been indicted or gone to prison!

I am a voracious reader, and lover of all things literate. I will only judge this book on its ideas and delivery, not on its author. While I do enjoy listening to Michael Savage on occasion, that doesn't give me the necessary depth to judge him as a man. I believe he tells the truth as he sees it, but again, I don't know him personally. The book is another story. A book is divorced from the author once it is released, and as such must stand by itself - without explanation or apology. Trickle up poverty is full of good ideas and obviously well researched. One should read it for these ideas, then do some research into their validity, and only then judge for yourself. And some these of ideas are so crucially important, we have an obligation to look into them. I am not saying I agree with every aspect Savage espouses, but I recognize their importance to my country. As a citizen, I have an obligation to be reasonably informed BEFORE I go into the voting booth. Savage gives me food for thought.

I am sorry to say I voted for Obama, and regret the hole he continues to dig for us. The book calls it a conspiracy. I'm not sure I can accept that. It would take a lot of coordination to break the back of the world's largest economy. However, I'm not saying it is not worth understanding. If there is enough evidence, enough logical and irrefutable proof, then we have to accept it. I'm not convinced Savage has done that. But there are plenty of other ideas short of that that are worth listening too. The horror of socialism is real, and I have no doubt anymore that this is Obama's goal. And that is enough for me. If you need further reading on that subject, read: Ayn Rand, "We The Living," and George Orwell, "1984."

So why not 5 stars? The delivery itself can be grating.

I have to start by admitting that I listen to Savage. But I really do not like his personality. But for some reason I listen to grouchy people. And I like when he goes on tangents and talks about Literature. I was a liberal arts major. I voted for the President but I started having doubts when I learned about his abortion stance and still I was constantly lulled into overlooking the one issue that is a big deal. I keep giving Obama the benefit of the doubt. I kept telling myself that the this is the work of John Birch society (the conservative word that is) Anyway I do like Obama as a family man and how he is with his daughters. And I find Savage as rude on radio. But that being said I do think that this book has me questioning many things. I hope that Savage has it wrong but I have a nagging feeling that maybe he is right. The way he pulls all the facts and evidence together convinces me that maybe he is right. And it does reinforce what I have read from other books. I have read the Communist Manifesto and believe that Obama may be a bourgie socialist nothing more. But Savage paints him as a true communist. And seems to be right due to the company our President keeps. I have also read the Rules for Radicals. I am leaning more to believing what Savage is saying than ever before. And this is with resistance, let me tell you. Because I personally like Obama I really do not want to believe Savage. I hope and pray that he is wrong. I am worried that Savage may very well be right. But I hope that he is not. I have to admit I am torn and do not want to believe it but finding it harder to do each day something new comes on the news.
Part of me wants to say that this is all lies but Savage does a good job suppling information and facts.

Savage is beholden to no one, he speaks and writes the truth.
Amazingly, most of the stuff Savage writes about are things
in warned us about for years if we let the progressives in
control.

I gave the book four stars out of fairness considering I am only 100 pages deep thus far. I have done my homework and read some of the opposing viewpoints, namely the Communist Manifesto and the like. Then there is the indoctrination one must face in the NY public school system and in the pursuit of various degrees, needless to say I am well versed in the left's failed ideology and tactics.

Now we have yet another great book from Savage, albiet the most important of them to date. This book will be received to a varying degree depending on ones background and experience, for some it will confirm their worst fears by spelling them out in black and white the destructive motivations of those in power, others it will shock to the core, the latter's reaction is due to their ignorance or indifference to what has been going on in this country. Others will simply discredit it out of fear their agenda will be brought to light and stopped, we can only be so lucky. No matter the reaction the simple truth is this book is not for the faint of heart, it is real, it connects the dots in a manner that makes the systematic destruction of our great nation clear. Often times we ignore that which happens around us because we cannot comprehend the motivations of those responsible. we consider it foolishness or inexperience when in fact it is a well planned and ideologically based tactics aimed at ruining this nation and rebuilding it based on failed ideology. This book lays out the motivations of those that see America impeding a global government, it outlines the motivation behind the illogical and very destructive policies and actions taking place now.
