I read in another review someone else had the same issue and they cut a piece of electrical tape the size of the battery and placed it in between the bottom of battery and mounting plate. THIS FIXED the problem and I've not had another issue since then.
The only thing I wish Trijicon would do different, is make a GREEN laser version like this one. I'd pay the extra $100 or so for it!
I've been shooting handguns for 20+ years and recently started shooting Glocks through GSSF indoor and outdoor competitions. My Glock collection has recently expanded to include various models to allow me to shoot multiple entries in the outdoor events. The most recent addition was a G35 MOS which prompted this purchase. Anxious to get it mounted and start using it, I ordered it with next-day shipping. It arrived on time but no bueno...the screws that came with the RMR are not compatible with the included Glock base plates (too long). You either have to find the right sized ones at a specialty hardware supplier or buy the Trijicon RMR kit for Glock MOS models (Trijicon part # AC32064). This kit contains a sealing plate that goes between the RMR and milled slide plus 2 screws that are the correct length. At the time I purchased the RMR and MOS, these kits (cost about $15) were backordered everywhere and ended up adding another 2 weeks to the wait to get to shoot it.
Also important to know, make sure to use enough locktite when mounting the MOS plate to the slide and the RMR to the mounting plate...here is where I can attest to it being rugged. When I finally got to shoot my MOS with the RMR, I probably put about 150 rounds through it before the screws worked themselves out of the mounting plate and the RMR was flung back into my forehead during a session at the range. After stopping the bleeding, I found the RMR and one of the screws near my feet, the sealing plate 5 feet in front of me, and the 2nd mounting screw 20' away over my right shoulder. The RMR was in no way damaged and worked as designed after I remounted it properly using Loctite. The package containing the MOS mounting screws and sealing plate contains zero instructions and doesn't mention using Loctite (nor does it include any).
If you are considering purchasing a Glock MOS, make sure the box includes the 4 MOS mounting plates. They shipped out a number of them this summer without the plates accidentally...Glock is great about sending replacements. I happened to notice it before buying my MOS but unfortunately that FFL didn't have a G35 that had shipped with the plates. I went to another dealer and only 1 of the 12 they had in stock had the plates which was the one that went home with me that day.
All in all, the product is great. I would have given it 4 stars if Trijicon had included several different length screws with the RMR or the product description had indicated that the kit should be purchased separately if using with a MOS.
Have not had any issues with dot dimming, shutting off or getting brighter while firing. As for other reviews of people saying the dot is 'fuzzy" or pixelated. You are NOT supposed to focus on the dot.. You look through the dot to your target then the dot will come into focus. All red dots/holographic (AIMPOINT, EOTECH, TRIJICON, ECT) what ever brand it may be, will do that. Or you may be running the dot to bright. So far i have about 450 rounds through it with the RMR attached with no issues
