I used these to make a homemade curtain valance for my kitchen window! Love how it turned out. I washed it because it did have a strong odor. Lots of piling after it was washed but fixed it with a lint roller and picking it off. I ironed it as well. I thought I wouldn’t like these as much as another brand I bought but once it was up I was really pleased with it! Just used the ring clips and a spray painted a cheap dollar curtain rod from Walmart and there you go! Sorry this review isn’t about using these as a drop cloth so I have no idea how well it actually works for that lol. Seems very durable but not very water resistant and stuff could probably easily go through it I would think.

I used these to recover a tattered faux leather ottoman (sorry for the crap photo and for not having a “before” photo). They worked great for that purpose. I washed in hot water and dried on high heat. They didn’t change shape or shrink and did very well in the laundry. No issues there. I will say that one (I bought a 2 pack) smelled a little funky.. like mothballs or an Asian market, but it wasn’t strong and the smell has now dissipated. The revamp has held up nicely over the past few weeks and I would definitely purchase these again for another project. Sorry I can’t comment on them as painter’s cloth.

Used as a drop cloth today actually. Just a few small drops on it while painting, ,,, one small drop (dime size) soaked through and left a spot on the carpet. If you are going to use as a protective drop cloth, I suggest you double it over otherwise don’t count on it. I wouldn’t buy it again. I won’t use it again without doubling it over. Disappointing.

Light canvas will stop most spills, finished edges, made in Pakistan

It is labeled medium weight but I would call this fabric light canvas, it says 8 oz which is accurate. Two edges are hemmed, the other two are serged. Finished size is 48" x 58.5", so 1.5" shorter than 5' but a true 4' wide. The canvas lets some light through but you can't see through it, not sheer at all. Color is a natural canvas, not white, definitely an earth tone. I am using it to protect the floor of my hatchback, and occasionally as a painting drop cloth-- just like the last one that it's replacing. I have heavier weight canvas drop cloths, 10 and 12 oz, but they are bigger. If you really want to stop spills when painting inside, get a plastic-backed canvas drop cloth.

These are a nice heavy fabric. I was using them for a bunk bed curtain project, so I would have liked the hemmed edges to be more precise and better sewn. However, using them for their intended purpose would work very well and they are very nice. No scratchy, cheap canvas here. The color was nice too. I plan on buying more for our curtains in the living room for a rustic feel. If you look closely you can see some blue and pink fibers, but you would have to hold them up to your face to see it. A very nice neutral gray/cream color overall.

This 8oz. drop cloth is misleadingly advertised as Premium Contractor Grade. Which is absolutely not the correct description. This fabric is only good for having your wife to sew a shirt but not protecting your floor or furniture from your painting job. See the photo and judge yourself! Could paint get easily through or not?

My dairy farmer friend wanted me to sew her a cover for her portable milking machine.. I chose the small drop sheet as fabric because it is washable, breathable and sturdy. The heavy canvas was so nice that I bought a large one to sew a duvet cover for my husband, who likes thick rough fabrics like hemp and linen.
Note that this is not as tight a weave as most of our other drop cloths that we use for painting.
