Tripi Takes Flight (The Amazing Adventures of Tripi the Fly) by Lori London is an enjoyable picture book that follows a young fly named Tripi. Tripi is very talented. He can talk, read, write, sing and dance, as well as other things, but Tripi can't fly. He goes to the library and finds a book about places to visit, like the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty, and he decides that he wants to see them. But how will Tripi see those landmarks if he can't fly?
I really enjoyed reading Tripi Takes Flight by Lori London. Tripi is a very likeable character, because he finds a solution to his problem. I liked that the book mentions many famous things to see, like Mount Rushmore, the leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Golden Gate Bridge, as well the Northern Lights. The illustrations by Heather Bonnstetter are bold and colorful and very well drawn. The illustrations of Tripi are very adorable, and the illustrations of the famous landmarks really look accurate. The book is inspiring, because Tripi doesn't let the fact that he can't fly get him down, and shows that just because we can't do one thing doesn't mean we can't do anything. The book is relatable, because many people have seen the landmarks mentioned in the book. Children will enjoy reading this book over and over again, because the story has rhythm, and the illustrations are very colourful. I would recommend Tripi Takes Flight by Lori London to all young readers. -- Reader's Favorite

Tripi Takes Flight (The Amazing Adventures of Tripi The Fly) by Lori London is an adorable children's story about a little fly that is talented in many things, except the most important; he can't seem to figure out how to fly. Yes, little Tripi can talk, sing, and dance. He can even read. But the poor little fly can't master flying. He has tried so many times, and in different ways, but he can't do anything more than hop, flap, and fall! How is a fly that cannot fly to go on the many adventures that Tripi dreams of going on? How can he see the many places and fascinating lands that he has read about if he cannot make his wings work? Tripi decides to go to the library to read and finds something so great, so exciting that he can hardly contain himself. He has found his answer! Will Tripi, at last, learn how to fly? Or will he learn that he doesn't necessarily need his wings to explore the world?
Tripi Takes Flight (The Amazing Adventures of Tripi The Fly) by Lori London is a cute young children's audio book. The message is clear and the character, Tripi, is always optimistic. I loved the story! I just wish it was longer. I got quite attached to Tripi, and I wanted to see the world from his view. He may be a little fly, but he has big dreams. This book is great for teaching children that although one may not be able to master a skill in one area, if they stay positive and look at their other talents and abilities, they can still make their dreams come true. The narrator did an excellent job of bringing the little fly to life, and her reading was rhythmic and could easily be soothing to the over-stimulated child.
This is a great audio book for children. -- Reader's Favorite
I like this wonderful book for many reasons, but two of them stand out. The first being that we are all different. We all have strengths and weaknesses, areas of acceleration and areas we struggle in. Rising above these obstacles is what defines us. Obstacles are only an opportunity to find another route to achieve our goals, they cannot stop us from reaching our dreams and potential in life. It is okay to be different and it is great to embrace our differences, as they make us unique and who we are.
The second is the power of positivity. We all have it within us and by sharing it with the world, we will stand out because people will see that we rise above obstacles and challenges and come out untarnished and with smile on our face. We must never let life or circumstances determine our outlook and our moods.
This is a story that is filled with charm, written in rhyme so it is fun for all ages and it carries a very positive message that benefits all within ear range. A story they will want to hear time and time again and will also enjoy reading on their own.
Available in hardcover or cd form, there is a selection for all preferences. The version on cd is read with a very welcoming voice tone that you will enjoy listening to and the book is written in an easy to read font and is a good quality book that will last thru many readers.
Great for your child's library, for daycares, preschools or school libraries. Also great to give as a gift to that one who loves to read.
